: 3 : 0 The only first was building my first PC from scratch. Naturally I had to take it in for "service" because it puked on power up. Sorry Walt, I just thought a C note service charge was worth not having th F#@K with it all weekend. (Walt's da man in computer consulting !!) Of course, that's not a event in our world ___________________ Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com

Hand Cam Video: Do you do it? What's the arrangement?
efs4ever replied to efs4ever's topic in Instructors
Hand Cam is certainly going to become more prevalent over the next few years. I don't know how many times tandem loads had to be shorted because of a lack of video staff. Do you do Hand Cam video on tandems? What's the arrangement with DZO on pay? Tell me everything! ______________________________ Russell M. This is a shot of the crack between bridge supports right before the flight. You can see them all crammed in there. _____________________ Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com

Here are some more BAT pics. The hawk was there waiting, but, again, I just had a cheapie camera with me. __________________ Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com

Chris Bickerdike's Skydiving Artwork
efs4ever replied to slotperfect's topic in Skydiving History & Trivia
Chris was still recovering from his self described achievement of becoming "Ground Plane #1". (Survived landing a down plane) He was jumping in cold weather with heavy gloves and a CAST on one arm. He went in San Antonio with nothing out. Took out part of a house too. The attached photo is a shot of a drawing he did on a dry eraser board. It's me putting students out on rounds at Metroplex Parachute Center in Decatur, Texas. It's a classic, and I'm glad I photographed it. _____________________ Russell M. Around this time in 1958 we were home on "long leave" from Saudi Arabia. I was seven. Watching TV at Grandpa's house and saw a sports show that showed freefall movies of baton passes and such. I vowed to do that some day.

Chris Bickerdike's Skydiving Artwork
efs4ever replied to slotperfect's topic in Skydiving History & Trivia
I'm happy to say Bickerdike was a bud back in the early 80s. I have several log entries where he either drew something related to a dive I did with or without him. Some were strange dives, like the time I got my 28mm lens and went out hooked up with him while he was attached to a D bag static line! Here are the first five. Picture five was the photo I took that is depicted in the type of dive in picture four. There's a print from a Kodachrome slide attached to the log entry of four. _____________________ Russell M. Time Lapse Video: Street Scene from my Office Window
efs4ever replied to efs4ever's topic in The Bonfire
You mean like BADGERS? My next project is to shoot about eight hours of construction on I-10 in Houston crunched down to about 1.5 minutes. Do any of you have an office with a view to the Kay Freeway construction?? __________________ Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com -

Call me tomorrow. You can help do camera. I want to get a video mounted somewhere so I can let it run. Need someone to guard it so the camera doesn't walk away. _____________________ Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com

I posted the pictures. You might have missed em, because I forgot at first. In the second shot you can see a lurker about to swoop for dinner. ________________ Russell M. Webb D 7014 Attorney at Law 713 385 5676 https://www.tdcparole.com

I live a stone's throw from the Waugh Street Bridge in Houston where a quarter of a million Mexican Freetail bats have a colony. Every evening, just before sunset, they swirl out from under the bridge looking like plumes of smoke. I hear they eat literally tons of insects each night. I went there tonight with only my cheapie camera but still managed to get some shots. Maybe tomorrow I'll take the big gun Eos 20D with a stronger flash. As they egress from their "cave" birds of prey are waiting for a meal. I think I even saw a pelican hovering around. The hawks just fly into the crowd and snatch up a tasty meal. Sorry I didn't get a shot that, (because I was fumbling around with the camera ) but I will keep this thread updated with cool pics if I see a bird snatch. ______________ Russell M.
