  1. I only have one reserve ride and it was on a 160 PD Reserve, loaded at 1.44 My experience with the PD was the same as your Dash-M. The opening was fine and on heading. It saved my life but flew and landed like crap. It was a no wind jumping day. The glide slope was steep and the canopy really didnt respond to the flare at all. I just pounded in. Its as if the brake lines were 10 inches short. Unfortunately no one caught the landing on video to check the break settings. Im defintely going to be checking them out in full flight if I ever find myself under it again. Makes you wonder what the results of an unconscious down wind landing would be. Deano
  2. I'm really want to get the Cannon XT and my local Best Buy has it. However, they only have the Silver version in stock. The sales associate had no idea when the black would be available. So should I get the silver now or wait an unknown amount of time for the black one? Deano
  3. I think a demonstration on video is in order. Deano
  4. Looking back at this months previous thread "What X-braced canopy do you fly", 40% are Xaos and 25% Icarus. There must be alot of HMA linesets out there now. Just wondering when people are getting their relines done and any observations they have made regarding them. I realize DZ conditions play an important role in the life span, but curious anyways. 150 jumps on my first set of HMA and counting. Peace, safe swoops Deano
  5. I believe there is more hills in New England than anywhere else in the country, just not as tall. Unfortunately they are all covered with pine trees. But somewhere, someone must know of a cleared out slope with just the right pitch. Deano
  6. Definitely I want to get out to see Jim at the GLC but in the meantime.........Anyone know of any good NOVICE sites in New England for ground launching? Deano
  7. I have a large/X-Large sidewinder for sale. Has about 40 jumps on it. I last used it in 1999. Custom paint job and this is the model with the flip up lens. Originally paid $550. Will sell for $300. I used a PC-1 with it, not sure of size comparison between the pc-1 and pc-8. I have attached a pic. Any questions just let me know. Deano
  8. My deepest sympathy goes out to Perry’s family and friends. My friend and I were in Perris this past week and stayed in the same bunkhouse with Perry and Julie. I am fortunate to have spent even a small amount of time with Perry. On Saturday evening prior to our departure home, Perry offered me a beverage and we exchanged several stories. It became obvious very shortly after meeting him, that he was a genuinely outgoing, friendly, always smiling, and as mentioned by one of his friends, “in your face” person. Again, so very sorry for your loss. Blue Skies Forever, Dean’O
