Two of my uni project deadlines that I was told were incorrect. They're now due in 3 days, from start to finish. So I explained to work that I simply cant do that in the time I had (one day off; Sunday) to complete it and that I would like the time off. They said no.. understandable, but I had to take it off anyway. I thought they'd just give me a slap on the knuckles, dock pay or something, but apparently it doesnt work like that. Turns out, even though you're punctual, have never missed a day of work, have turned up for all the overtime they have requested and been as efficient as they require and much more.. this doesnt matter. I've been made to feel welcome by the people I've met, and had questions answered. I've not been told to get lost, or leave people alone, or generally treated as if I'm not worth their time. Yup, that's me I'm afraid. Never made a jump. However, I have one booked, and I can see why you all find it so great.. I'm intoxicated with the thought and apprehension.. shame it's a few months away yet! No, of course, I dont call myself a skydiver. Not even a beginner. I admit wholeheartedly to being a newbie. However, I'm no whuffo.. I know what I want to do and why. Well.. that is until I get to the door on jump #1.. things may change (I hope not!) I dont see the point in pretending to be someone you're not. That's why you wont find me posting in the skydiving forums until I've done a jump or few.. I'm an utter beginner, simple as that. But I dont mind admitting that.. everyone has to start somewhere. Every single person on here, without any exception, has been in my shoes (or similar ones at some point) - so what's to be ashamed of? You all seem like nice chaps (and ladies).. hence why I'm still here So thanks, for that.
