Is shooting down a civilian plane legitimate?
tunaplanet replied to nigel99's topic in Speakers Corner
Re-read my last post. If you need tutoring in comprehension, I'll PM you some contacts. Wealth of misinformation? Hardly. That crowning belongs to you. I actually make a point to read some of your posts for the comedy relief. Around 2% of pilots with weapons is hardly enough to claim, "we have armed pilots." Anything else? Good. I need to hit the range. Laters. Forty-two -
Is shooting down a civilian plane legitimate?

The number is that and no, didn't hook myself. Some of you people crack me up with your repetitive rhetoric. Less than 2% of pilots with weapons is hardly worthy of saying, "pilots are armed." When that number rises to around 25-40% then you can say we have armed pilots. Same thing with Air Marshalls. Less than 1% of all flights have them. Would I say we have AMs? No. Be realistic when engaging in debates. Forty-two -

Oh, you mean the less than 2% that fly armed? Wow, that's significant. Forty-two -

Pilots are not armed. The sky is safer for it. Period. Anything else? Forty-two -
Well I was referring to political personalities. However, Rome is great. Cracks me up. Tony Bruno and Andrew Siciliano are hysterical and very informative as well. Forty-two

If they agreed pilots would be armed. No, congress does not agree. Forty-two -
Homing Devivces for Civilian Contractors in the Middle East

You can sew microchips anywhere on the body. Toenails and fingernails work well too. And how exactly could they do this when... a) They have no idea he has a transmitter b) Even if they thought he did they wouldn't know where it is All in all it's a good idea. It's also not an original idea. This has been done in Special Operations. Forty-two -

Well thank God the people that actually make those decisions don't agree with you. Forty-two -
That has been talked about for a few weeks now. Forty-two

No, I would not trust pilots to handle any high-pressure situation pertaining to a hostage/terrorist takeover. There are many better options we can utilize instead of arming the pilots. Forty-two -
Russia warned USA of Terror attacks from Iraq post 9/11.
tunaplanet replied to storm1977's topic in Speakers Corner
Right on. Hit the nail on the head. I am neither a republican nor democrat, but have to side with Bush on this one. Liberals are notorious for throwing smokescreen when they are in the wrong. Let's eliminate all the bullshit and look at the facts. - The report stated that there was no link between Iraq and Al Queda regarding 9/11. - Bush has stated all along that there was never a link between Iraq and Al Queda regarding 9/11. - The reason for us going to war in Iraq was for a pre-emptive measure to ensure an incident as 9/11 would not happen again. Iraq had the capability, motive not to mention we had evidence they were attempting something. Russian intel recently has supported our claim that Iraq was in the process of terrorist attacks both on our soil as well as other installations around the world. - The war on Iraq has nothing to do with Al Queda. Interesting opinions. A little off the mark, but interesting none the least. You have no clue that the lawsuit would not have ended up being about money. It most likely would have. And yes, the Mc D's woman was a moron beyond normal standards. But like the old saying goes. Opinions are like..... Forty-two

tunaplanet replied to nigel99's topic in Speakers Corner
Amen. And let's not forget all the other means they could terrorize the US..... - Suicide bombings in schools - Ebola - Botulism - Poison water supplies - Dirty bombs And there are many others I won't list. It's impossible to defend against everything. Do whatever you have to...just don't give the pilots anymore responsibility Forty-two -
Is shooting down a civilian plane legitimate?
tunaplanet replied to nigel99's topic in Speakers Corner
That is correct. And they can barely do that anymore. Let's not push their mental capabilities by giving them a responsibility such as weapons in the cockpit. These aren't the brightest humans ever produced. Forty-two -

You are correct. Using planes in that manner would most likely never happen again. The entire plane would be on these guys. Forty-two -
2 other names who are longshots, but I like them both. - Bob Kerrey - Blanche Lambert Lincoln I love Bob Kerrey. Great man. I have mad respect for him. Blanche Lambert Lincoln is a possibility. Would like to see a female running mate. Her lack of foreign policy and military experience could hurt a bit. Overall she would be a nice pick. Forty-two

I realize Clinton says she is not interested but I added her anyways. Rumors have surfaced that she may change her mind. I doubt it, but added her anyways. Forty-two

Didn't list "Other" because there is no other. Period. Speculate all you want but his running mate will be one of these four. Forty-two

I see a lot of love for Glen Beck. The guy is pretty fucking awesome. Forty-two

Russia warned USA of Terror attacks from Iraq post 9/11.
tunaplanet replied to storm1977's topic in Speakers Corner
Uh, bro, seriously...back down here to earth for a nanosecond please. Attacking a nation as a pre-emptive measure due to intel that they were about to attack your country and carry out terrorist attacks against you is possibly a reason. Wether it is or not is a matter of opinion. Personally I feel it's a good reason. Self defense. Now, as to what specific intel was delivered...that's another story. Forty-two -
Russia warned USA of Terror attacks from Iraq post 9/11.
tunaplanet replied to storm1977's topic in Speakers Corner
Wow, either you guys don't listen or are just too far in left field to comprehend. We went to war as a pre-emptive strike so something like 9/11 will not happen again. Period. Hussein was capable of terrorist attacks against the US. He is no longer. And guess what? Iraq now doesn't pose a threat to the US. Forty-two -
Wow, there's a shocker. A liberal not seeing a republican president worthy of a great honor such as being on currency. Does anyone have an original, non-sheepish comment? I swear if I heard a democrat stand up and say, "You know, I may be a democrat, but I have to give praise and props to I may just fucking faint. It's ok, people, if you give props to someone your masters forbid you to you won't die. They won't seek you out and do bodily harm Forty-two

Great! Now the terrorists don't have to worry about sneaking weapons on board...they'll be on the plane for them. Good plan, skippy. Oh, and I don't know what's scarier...terrorists with weapons or pilots. Have you seen some of these freaks of nature recently? Do you really want you and your families lives in the hands of these goofy-ass dim-wits in a terrorist situation? I'd feel more comfortable arming the 90 year old granny next to me knitting socks for her cat back home than trusting these over-paid dumb-asses with firearms. Forty-two
