  1. Looking forward to it ParacleteXP
  2. I haven't done any 8 way out of it yet. But...I know they have reservations about alot of people in the back. The pilot here keeps it in a nose down attitude when we do big way loads so I'm sure its pretty trick. I will call Ray Ferrel and find out exactly what the operators are experiencing. While doing 4 way we have had not a single issue. ParacleteXP
  3. No I'm going to Eloy to coach Extremo. I have had a little time on my hands while they build the monster. Once its done I want you to come up for the Opening and check it out! Party on Wayne ParacleteXP
  4. You can handle 30 minutes a day easy enough. Break it down into two 15 minute blocks with at least an hour in between so you can debrief, rest, and brief the next session. There are great instructors at the Orlando Skyventure that are available on a daily basis to coach. Contact the office and tell them what you need. ParacleteXP
  5. A really nice 18 way ParacleteXP
  6. We take everything off the same as an Otter ParacleteXP
  7. It's fine. A little smaller than the Otter but basically the same. Climbs fast and is comfortable. ParacleteXP
  8. It's better to see someones eyes. Whatever your discipline its all about working relativity and non-verbal communicating is what we work with every single jump. However, some people have very sensitive eyes and need protection. Just decide on a tint that allows protection and visual affirmation that you're seeing, not just looking. ParacleteXP
  9. We are having a FS skills camp April 7-8th. This camp uses primarily a 4-way format and focuses on all aspects of FS. You will learn and apply the techniques of exits, transitioning on the relative wind, turns, forward and backward movement, slow fall-fast fall, slides, and super positioning. You will jump with a ParacleteXP coach and 2 other participants. All jumps are videoed and debriefed. Having a player/coach on each jump steepens the learning curve and allows the coach to push your limits on every skydive. Cost: $660.00 includes 12 jumps with video, DVD of all jumps, and an event specific T-shirt. Minimum experience required: 80 jumps If you would like to sign up for this camp a $100.00 deposit is required to hold your slot. Contact info: To make reservations please email info@paracletexp.com ParacleteXP

  12. Start without. If you find you are working at the end of your fast fall range then add weight accordingly. ParacleteXP
  13. This weekend we completed the first of a series of camps designed to give people the opportunity to work on FS skills. This weekend the group worked on Big Way techniques, which included diving and floating, exits from a variety of slots, flying the formation, tracking tips, and flying your canopy in larger groups. Every participant displayed a steep learning curve as the jumps went on, providing RPC with a safe, fun-filled weekend. Thanks to everybody that came out and jumped and we hope to see you at a future camp. Also thanks to Gene Paul Thacker for everything and pilot Randy Cash for his fantastic flying. See you next time. 14. Go to tunnelcamp.com and under Airspeed camps go to coaches corner and you can see their curriculum. They have videos of the drills being demonstrated at the bottom of the home page. As far as using your new suit absolutely you should use it, just use caution entering the tunnel the first few times until you get used to the added drive. Two hours is an excellent start, pace yourself and rest in between sessions so that your learning curve stays steep. ParacleteXP
  15. Sounds fun! Time to break a record. ParacleteXP
  16. When is it taking place? ParacleteXP
  17. We just landed from the first of many Wednesday after work fun loads. Mark, Joey, Andy, Bill, Elliot, Arvil, and Kirk turned a nice laid-back 5 pointer on a beautiful day in Raeford. We encourage anyone and everyone to join us every Wdenesday at 4:30 to dirt dive and go air it out. Of course its followed by $1 beer night at Aviators. Hope to see you next week. ParacleteXP
  18. Here are photos from today. 23 guys pouring 540 yards of concrete, thats over 2,000,000 pounds. ParacleteXP
  19. Some non-technical books that are mandatory reading for Airspeed members are: The New Toughness Training by James Loehr and In Pursuit of Excellence by Terry Orlick. Both are excellent models for mental training. You will probably find that alot of the techniques used in these books are things you may already do but it helps to validate them. ParacleteXP
  20. You are born with two inherent fears. One is the fear of loud noises and the other is the fear of falling. Nearly every animal has these, even reptiles have a fear of falling. ParacleteXP
  21. Bad packing definitely accounts for some malfunctions, but the lack of ability to fly your opening contributes as well. ParacleteXP
