I just read the emails. He had a tough existence for the entire time that I knew him. I saw him the last time maybe two months ago, and it felt like I was hugging a skeleton. It's comforting to know he's out of pain now. No matter how many times Steve had showed me how to pack, he'd always be right there anytime I had even the smallest of questions. Hard life or not, he was one of the good ones. ~skysprite

I'm going to sound annoyingly chipper because guess what - I'm done! Three complete papers done, printed, and put in my bag to be turned in. Yipeee! Now I get to look forward to two finals for which I haven't read for the classes all semester. I guess when it comes to those two classes, I've adopted your point of view, Kelly! Finals! Yay! While finals aren't until December, this is my official "weekend before finals"! This is the weekend I have to write all of my papers and do all of my studying because I'm going to be out of town the real weekend before finals. No weekend before panick attacks for me! No no, that's happening now instead! The good news is I've knocked two 10 page papers out already, and just have one more to go. Yay me! How goes your finals papers and finals studying?? ~skysprite

We've always put up our tree the day after Thanksgiving too. The last couple of years however, my Mom has gone nuts. One year she put it up before Halloween (a year that I wasn't at home, but I heard all about it). This year has kind of been a bad one so she wasn't going to put one up at all, which obviously, is so unlike her. So my sister and I talked her into getting one, and it went up Monday. It's not decorated yet though - that will probably happen sometime this week or weekend. ~skysprite

Any hip hop dancers in the house (trained, natural talent, whatever)? I just signed up for a one hour once a week hip hop class. I'm scared - I'm overweight, out of shape, and haven't danced hip hop in a year and a half, and haven't danced seriously for four years. A year and a half ago I was taking a university hip hop class when I had an unfortunate landing and got a stress fracture at the fibula and had to quit. So it's been what feels like forever since I stepped onto a dance studio floor. This class is going to kick my ass once a week for a while (

I have this deaf friend I've been meeting with just to hang out, chill, and talk. He's helping me practice my ASL. Something that's always caught my eye, but I didn't know meant something, is his fingernails are all cut short except for the pinky, which is exceptionally long. I guess I have a hand fetish of sorts, because anything that isn't normal or pretty freaks me out. Regardless, he was doing me the favor by helping me. Today I happened to mention how it creeps me out to a friend who told me that often times that people who do cocaine have their pinky nail longer then the rest for the purpose of opening whatever instead of using a razor, and just for the purpose of ease. I don't understand because I've never touched drugs in my life, but this is the info I got from her. I'm talking to him online now and confronted him about it and so far his story sounds legit. Odd, but legit. So I'm wondering, have you guys ever heard of such a thing meaning something else, and what was it? Put my mind at ease please. ~skysprite
