I can't really vote in this poll, because I do both. Sometimes I read the results first and then vote, other times I vote first, then read the results afterward. Both MCAS Tustin and MCAS El Toro were closed. Tustin was the Helicopter base and El Toro was the fixed wing base. The helos were split up, the CH-53Es went to Mimimar, the UH-1Ns and AH-1Ws went to teh airstation at Camp Pendleton and the CH-46Es went to 29 Palms. Wouldn't be going to Tustin, the Marine Corps Air Station was closed as a result of the Base closures from 95. Probably practicing attack profiles, they are designed to fly low levels, or it could just be going back toward it's ome base is TX.
