  1. I don't remember actually, I believe it was the last time we heve seen him
  2. First I have to finish my master degree and then I will seriosly think about it, believe me
  3. It's cold season in Lithuania now, no more regular jumping till the spring So I'm sitting at work and look thru my skydiving photos, there are some... maybe they help someone to overcome winter depression as they helps me P.s. sorry for bad english
  4. I use 725 microline, the lines left after canopy reline. It lasts 50+ jumps without any significant wear. Mine required change in 100+ jumps. But of course better use the type that container manufacturer recomends
  5. About copyright, Element was released prior to Icon I think
  6. Make myself a "loop puller" from a wire and use 725 lbs spectra for loops (old lines left from the canopy reline), but those damn things lasts forever, 90 jumps on mine and counting
  7. 4,5 euro to 5000 feet, and 10,2 euro to 10000 feet, for club members We jump Antonov "AN-2", he he, we even don't need to clean the runway in winter, just to put the skies on
  8. In Lithuania AAD is mandatory untli "D" category (500 jumps).

Maybe it belongs to safety forum but desided to post it here So... the trip for beer went wrong. I and fellow skydiver desided to have a beer, to do this we had to drive about half a mile to nearest store, what could possibly go wrong??? But it can... finaly, two cars were completely destroyd No one was seriously hurt in this accident, except of few stitches on my friend lip and some bruises on our faces The BIG MORAL of this story - USE SEAT BELTS!!! it's just like a cypres, except it needs no four year service mhhh... maybe then just like a vigil though
  13. My first jump (round canopy), and mhhh... freefly attempt maybe, on jump 50
  14. I have 15 years old Vector II, modified it with tuck-flaps, no problems with velcro now but yes, if you can afford it, buy something more modern
  15. It's the final configuration. The bigger one has forvard speed of 5m/s and drags the reserve which is unsterable. Descent rate is a bit more higher because chutes let more air out because of the angle.
  16. That not on purpose, but such a thing happens time to time with this rig, after you deploy main chute you have to turn off the mechanical ADD unit attached to the reserve, if not... "bum", the whole reserve falls down to a full line stretch an then slowly infiltrates. Such two out landing was a part of training program in russia in old days and a part of fun in our. Besides now its fun to remember a lot of things, for example, jump from 500 feet with static line round canopy, that scare . my instrucor made it from 350 feet
  17. Look over my old archives and found this photo, interesting, how to name this two out situation Landed it a bit rough but now it's fun to remember
  18. Vector 2, Raider main, Firelite reserve, All made in 1990. 300 USD.
  19. FC Raider 220 was my first gear after jumping accurancy canopy for a while. Bought it used with about 1000(!) jumps and made 50 myself. It it is very forgiving in flight and for packing, opens very very soft (even a litle bit to scary) in about 800-1000 feet, I gues because of wear (F-111 fabric).Openings are on heading, in 50 jumps I have one line twist after I packed it in 4 minutes, but it's not a problem on such size canopy, and one cutaway after my friend packed it in 3 :), he forget to stow one toggle and it get cought in lines. The landings was good except the ones I tryed to do downwind... The glide ratio is very good, it managed to get me to DZ when my jump partner (with accurancy canopy) left half a mile of it. I would reccomend this canopy for people just off student status, it served me well, besides you can't beat it's price used, mine cost me 70 usd :) P.s. Sorry for bad english
  20. I liked AN-26 most and motor glider is fun to, but it's not very easy to get your ass out of it in the air
  21. New rig cost me 2200, jumps about 2K and trips to and from DZ's about 500-600 I think, forget the beer, it add's 500. So this season cost me about 5K, but I would gladly spend more if i can afford it
  22. I think i'm going to sped the new year hollydays in Portugal and wonndering what is the nearest DZ to Lisbon, can I rent a gear there, what is the prices??? Meybe the are peoples from portugal to answer my questions... Thanks!
