Sorry I have to call bullshit. That is the biggest bunch of stereotypical crap. Women have issues with it because they over the generations have been told over and over that men were superior and women just cant do things as well. I can take and either back in park or for that matter parrellel park anything you put me behind the wheel of (with the exception of a semi, as I havent tried that with a trailer, but I think after a couple trys I could do it). I used to parrellel park my GMC Yukon down in the city of chicago with no problems one try with about a foot in front and a foot in back...and that was a good sized spot. Can do the same with my aunts full size pick up truck, with out blinking. So do not give me this line of shit that women because they are women cannot back up. It is because they choose to let that stereotype be the guide they follow. [/rant] Generally speaking, women are not the best drivers. Are there some great drivers that are women? Of course! But most are oblivious to their suuroundings and probably wouldn't have a clue about actually controlling a car. I don't believe it's becasue they are "following" a stereotrype, it's simply the way it is. And that's not saying that there aren't retarded drivers who are men.

I back into parking spots probably half the time. Why? I can see better when I leave and backing out of a parking space can be a pain in the ass if some nimrod is an idiot next to you. It takes me just a few seconds longer to pull in backward than it does pulling in forward.

**Not saying this is what your situation is** but, I don't think it's so much that parents these days are "wussy" more than it is a lot of parents let their kids do whatever the fuck they want (yes even at 10) and some parents just don't want their children around (i.e. sleep overs) certain behavior. In this day and age, I don't blame parents for being extra protective. That said, who knows why the parents don't want their children at your house, did you ask them if something was wrong?
