I guess you skimmed through my post where I suggested that the whining could be kept outside of this thread. As for the free speech aspect, first of all, this is not a government regulated web site. Nor is it even owned by an American. So, as has been said numerous times before, and much better I might add, you don't have any "rights" if you choose to post on here. You go by the rules of the house or you don't get to stay in this house. The mere fact that the whining threads have not been deleted should be sufficient to qwell your fears of oppression by the big bad Moderators. Oh, and you apparently skimmed this part as well: You mean like the whining you are doing about the whining that you don't want in your no whining thread or did you mean that only you can whine about the people that don't agree with you and does that mean the the people that do agree with you can whine in this thread too. I'm ok with the direction the bonfire is going, I guess. I just wish someone would let us know to what level it is going to be sanitized. I also wish someone would own up to why it is. It has nothing to do with making all of you non whiners more comfortable here. It's about advertisers and I hope he was not counting on the hit count from the bonfire to maintain all of the flashy new advertisers because the bonfire is going down the tubes. Could you drop us a PM before giving out the address so we can make sure it's someone we're okay with? I'm okay with pretty much anyone here, but having had a stalker, I understand the concern. I am comfortable with that plan too. I can do that, the only ptential problem I see with that plan is that when the list starts getting smaller because people are only ok wiith certain people, some people might get shafted because there isn't anyone who they want to give their address to. What I can do though, is make sure that the addresses are not near eachother. For example, I can send someone from WA, to FL. Or From Australia to Canada, etc etc. There aren't many unknown names on the list.

Keep in mind that not everyone on the list gets everyone else's address. Only one person will get your address - the person mailing you the package. If that helps at all.

How come? Some people may be uneasy about having their address and name being given to someone who no one knows. Sunny: what do you think might be an appropriate amount of posts for someone to participate?

The "rules" here of what is acceptable and not acceptable are very vague and anything that *crosses the line* but isn't neccesarily in the rules as a no-no, get's the axe with no explaination. If you DO post something that gets trashed and you don't know why, you're supposed to just sit back and shut your mouth because this is "not your house" blah blah blah and the mods can do whatever they want. And don't you dare "challenge" them. All that does is leave people wondering why something they posted wasn't acceptable. It doesn't solve the problem (i.e. letting them know why or what in particular was wrong). I've seen it so many times happen to so many people, myself included.

OK, if you want to be a part of this, PM me with your name and address. I will start a list and as long as we have enough people, I will start the package. What do you think? If we have 25 people? 50? When does it become worth it?

We have done this on another board I frequent and it's really kind of neat. Maybe you guys would like to do it over here? We have so many people around the World so it would make for quite an adventure. I would start it off by compiling a list of people who are interested and get their address's. What we do is have a stuffed animal or toy of some kind. I would take various photos of it in different places and send it off to the next person on the list. The next person would then keep it for 1 week and do the same. Take it skydiving if you want, bring it to a landmark near you, anything you can think of. Then when you're week is up, I give you the next address to send it to. It could go on for a long time. In the end, we will have pictures of this toy or animal in different places all around the world. Perhaps we could make some kind of photo album or something. What do you think?

I don't know what Samoas are, but the Caramel deLites and the Thin Mints are my favorite, in no particular order. But the Thin Mints used to be better, before they made the cookie part chocolate. (Why do they take a great product and change the recipe???) Samoas are the same cookie but not nearly as good.

THANK YOU for saying that!! I HATE blue M&Ms and people think I'm crazy. They taste funny, but everyone seems to think they taste the same. They absolutely do NOT taste the same, at all. They are all different, and I've even put it to the test because my husband and a couple of our friends didn't believe me when I said I can tell a difference and dont like particular colors. I was blindfolded. I had them hand me one M&M at a time and I had to tell them what color it was. I named them all correctly and within seconds. I also don't like certain brands of bottled water and people think it's crazy. "It's all water!". Sure it is, but they taste different, and some taste better than others.

Both Samoas and Caramel Delites look (nearly) exactly the same. In fact most people can't tell the difference (even in taste). The Caramel Delites are smothered in caramel, and are very chewy and scrumptious. Samoas are crumbly and the cookie tastes different. I prefer Caramel Delites 100% over Samoas. I would actually pass on the cookies (and have) if they were Samoas and not Delites. It makes me sad that Caramel Delites are only available in certain areas. Places either have Samoas or Caramel Delites, never both. Kind of how I don't like blue m&m's. Maybe I just have super sensitive taste.

Samoas are gross. Caramel DeLites are the best. They both look nearly identical, but they taste different. Thin Mints are a close second.
