    New jibjab

Watched it this morning and laughed my ass off.
  2. Nope. Bobby John did vote Blake out too. They reveal the votes in the closing credits and showed his vote for Blake.
  3. We usually just call him Blake. So is he really a cool guy? I know how editing can slant things in a certain light.
  4. You looked awesome! Wish I could've been there.
  5. That's awesome! I signed up to be a host housing as well. There are so many people that have posted available temporary housing, that I haven't been contacted as of yet.
  6. I saw this on Myspace.com yesterday as it had my sister very upset. Both of us have contributed our time, her at the food bank and me at the convention center. I started to get upset by the tone of the initial message, and then chose to ignore it, and not respond. From my experience helping the evacuees at the Convention center, 99.9% of them have been extremely greatful for everything they have received. The other .1% are still too shocked to even know what the hell is going on. The majority of them have not even begun to digest the magnitude of what has occurred, so we should probably forgive them if they forget to say "thank you".
  7. I'll definitely try to make it there! I'll probably need a nap beforehand, since I'm so old.
  8. Thanks for the article. We are very priveledged to have these great musicians in our city!
  9. Taken from the article... and soooo true. "We know how to make music out of the darkness, which is the most valuable thing I inherited as a daughter of New Orleans. Katrina may have destroyed many of the things we have built on this swampy land, and she may have killed or wounded those we love, but she will not destroy our spirit. We will find ways to transform this tragedy into words and music and art that will honor what is lost and keep the vibrant, unassailable spirit of New Orleans alive." I worked at the Convention center in Austin which houses 5000 evacuees, and witnessed many things, and this being one of them. I walked out on the back dock which was referred to as the "smokey blues section", because this is where they could smoke, and was inundated with music and joy. The scene was one with many people sitting around in chairs and wheelchairs, enjoying good ol' New Orleans style music that was blasting from a radio, and the other people... well they were dancing, hooping it up and having a good time. And this wasn't just regular "I like this song dancing", you could see their spirit and cultural background radiating from them as they moved. They danced, smiled, and laughed. It was an amazing sight to see. I smiled as hard as I could fighting back the tears of happiness, to see that for some, their spirit will not be broken from this situation. Like the Phoenix they will rise again.

    NY Bagels

Yep they do!!! I use to bring back a duffel bag full of them.
  13. This is the original snapshot that was taken from the video system. My photoshop skills are lacking at the moment, and wasn't quite sure if or how this picture could be enhanced.
  14. Yes, we thought it could be a crossdresser or something of that sort... But the individual that saw him was less than a foot from him, freaked and left the restroom. Also, on the video footage it's quite clear that it's a man. We thought maybe he had a change of clothes in the bag.
  15. Yes I know about all that. It doesn't go that deep... we're just trying to get the picture a little clearer to see if anyone recognizes him. He was hanging out in the womens restroom, and we're not sure exactly what he was doing. It doesn't need to be Photoshop necessarily either, just want to see if it can be cleared up a little.
  16. Yep.... sure I won't be jumping till late Saturday.... and/or recovered enough to jump on Sunday.
  17. Any chance someone wants to help me out here???? I'm trying to get this picture clearer.... or atleast the face. Thanks for the help.
  18. Argh!!! Can't believe you're so ahead of the game. I guess your teammate rubbed off on me.
  19. Yes, I know. I'll be riding on the roof if you get anymore stuff. And yes, I'm right there with you, half of my stuff is in the living room still, a couple of bags have made it to the bedroom, and I've unpacked absolutely nothing other than my hair dryer.
  20. My boss just walked into my office and informed me of this.... AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- A small plane crashed into a house near Austin and burst into flames Tuesday, killing at least six people, the Federal Aviation Administration said. Full Story - CNN
