Hairlip?

I was a Dominoes Pizza Asst. Mangr many many moons ago in Hallandale Florida. The store had gotten robbed so many times (before I worked there) that they put up this bullet proof glass between the customers and the rest of the shop. Then they put up a bullet proof store front with a door buzzer system. I was working close and all the drivers were out. Oftentimes we would buzz pick-up customers in. This guy comes to pick-up an order and pulls a gun. The guy had a .38 and I guess thought he could shoot through it. So he tried to rob me. At first I was surprised and then I started to laugh. I picked up the phone and called the police. He shot the window and scared me but it did not come through. Then he realized he was gonna get nailed and tried to leave but he did not realize that he had to be buzzed out. He was stuck and I was hysterical with laughter. He shot at the windows and door and emptied the damn gun and man it was loud. The cops came and he had nowhere to run. When they had him in custody I went to the officers and gave them a pizza to give the guy covered in anchovie juice. While waiting for the cops I tortured him by pressing the buzzer every once in a while. He cussed me out the whole time he was in there. What fun.

Yeah the only thing that sucked was that it was too short. But hey Minny Lee executed a good PLF and made it all worth while.

I was RIGHT in the middle. KICK ASS!!! The only bad part.....then I had to walk outside into rainy crappy Ohio weather and realize I have almost 40 days before I can make another jump. Me Too fifth row up and dead center with the OSU Skydiving Club and My wife and kids. I have to say the best aprt was when I looked at my youngest daughter. She had a fire in her eyes that told me she WILL be jumping. I mean I got a twinge of fear and a major thrill watching her. She was positively lit up. I think she has very high Seratonin (sp?) levels

My favorite exit right now, I do not know what it would be called is to sit with your back to the door, pull your legs up to your chest and wrap your arms around your knees and roll backwards. Then hold it for as long as you can or until you need to pull whichever comes first. I usually get about seven rotations and gotta it go. It is a hoot.

I think they are both stupid.

When I did my first solo I kind of had some similar experience in that I was not sure what to do. I decided that I was going to do a front flip and a backflip and some turns and then maybe if I had time another front flip and then pull. I was the last one out of the plane and when it was my turn I realized I had forgotten to plan my canopy plan as far as my pattern and my thousand foot area. I got panicked but did my floater exit and went on doing what I planned but nothing seemed to go well so I gave up and was still at around 9000 and thought, like you, now what? So I located the DZ and then stared at the sunset until pull time. Flew my pattern fine and realized I had blown my first solo. But in all honesty I had a great time. I have done seven solos now and I have come to realize that solos are all about the exit and the veiw. Have tons of fun with the exit, try different things. I use solos to experiment with different stupid flips and rolls and body positions and at around 8000 I just relax and enjoy the spirituality of the moment. I really prefer to jump with people but I like to end the day with a solo. On solos I do not have to worry about performance things only safety and the moment.

If you have not seen this you really need to. Some great footage. I was smiling the whole time. I will be buying it if they ever release a DVD. They proved Leo's design would have worked although I do not think you would want to actually land it. My youngest daughter wanted to jump with them as she was watching it. It was awesome to see the fire in her eyes.
