Not me, man, I'm good for as long as I want but there will be many who will just say screw it.

Ken, something that young people, like yourself, don't fully grasp is that as one gets older they start getting their druthers and many of our DZO senior citizens would druther not be fucked around by the feds over useless paperwork irrespective of the cost. I suspect many would simply druther to take their marbles and go fishing.

It helps but not as much help as signing a $2 Billion private equity deal which was initially rejected by the Saudi Sovereign Wealth Fund Advisors as being "unsatisfactory in all respects" and having an excessive fee structure. For some reason, probably because he likes to help first time hedge funders, they were overruled by MBS. Nothing to look at there.

Just after the hop and pops.

Right. And after being VP for eight years he pulled down a measly $11 million for speaking. I, for one, would like to see more of that sort of payday. Hell, I've been speaking here since 2003 and I haven't got skittah. I suspect I've been worth every penny, too.

I'm sure the bored kids were a joy and I'm even surer that I've never heard a fish monger call out: "Smelly Fish! Get your smelly fish here!"

As Skydekker has claimed repeatedly, we truly have become a Banana Republic. Impeachment proceedings against a sitting President at the behest of a candidate for reelection against a sitting President by that candidates political party for the sole purpose swaying the election are who we are now. Thank you Republicans.

Yes. I already heard that from Matt Gaetz. He's 80 and is worth $11 million according to Forbes. Most of that is in appreciated real estate that appreciated the old fashioned way: over time. Some is by cashing in on the speaking circuit after being VP. That's opposed the the new fashioned way of by knowing Harlan Crow and scamming foreign dignitaries and morons. Do you know of other scammed wealth we need to add to what to me seems a paltry total for his age?

Before or after?

Yep, it's a pilots airplane for sure. I've owned and operated two retractable gear aircraft used for jumping: a regular Twin Beech and a Turbine Twin Beech. Never again. Same with King Airs for jumping, the small door and tight cabin don't work for me no matter how fast it climbs.

Not be a self aggrandizing prick, would be a good start. You know, like pick up the phone and tell our government he can help and whats the best way. You know, the little things that narcissists don't do.

No matter, my pallet of fine Wine and aged Rum, as confirmed by Apple Air Tags, is now in Bonner Springs, Kansas. Soon it'll be in Miami and then containerized for delivery to the Peoples Republic of Joe currently in Bocas Del Toros Panama. Then I am outa here and all of these problems I will leave to ya'alls kind and capable attentions.

Well, you're a rockstar, that's a fact. I am also a fan of fast climbing jump planes, my current fave is my -42A Short Caravan with full traffic, glass etc. Super fun to fly and 2 minutes 11 seconds to all three on the runway from 14K. From jumping, I'm just not a fan of small doors, I guess. No matter, when it comes to fast planes you are the ruler, no doubt.
-
Relax Mike, I can calculate the difference in the of number of loads possible in an aircraft with half the climb time, too. So here's a question, I've flown 36 loads a day in a Super Caravan on back to back days too often. Have you flown 72 loads on back to back days in a Super even faster King Air? You are promoting the machines production advantage after all.
-
Well that's all fine and dandy, for sure, and fast jump aircraft are pretty cool. But even if it was twice as fast as that why would anyone want to jump a King Air when Super Caravans or -34 Otters will get a load to 14K in 12 minutes in comfort and then have a nice big door to make life happy for the jumpers? No time to relax and get comfortable is hardly a selling point for practicing a dive flow, calming a student, or doing a few safety checks. To each their own, I guess.

You're not my Ken. My Ken grasps nuance. Nor would my Ken offer a false choice based on a false narrative. Musk should not have been allowed to make any seemingly generous offer of satellite communications to further Ukraines war effort in the first place without agreement by the US DoD that control would vest with the US DoD. He wasn't sending containers of Big Mac's and Whoppers, he was sending targeting capability to the Ukrainian Military. That it was all done so sloppily that he retained the rights to say no to some targets was not to smart on DOD's part. Also, that we have morbidly rich loose cannons who can do so and with apparent impunity is, I think, a real problem.
-
Goodbye, jakee.
-
No, I’m thinking that weapons of war, which in this case Starlink is, shouldn’t be treated like support by an NGO. Probably we should have told Musk DoD would contract and pay for the service.
-
Straw man argument. I think people with enormous wealth like Musk, but not limited to Musk, shouldn't be making decisions that might affect the outcome of a battle or conflict in a war zone just because he can afford to. How we get that genie back in the bottle given our current political situation is beyond my ken.
-
He's not a government western or not and that is the sole issue. Citizens should not be using incredible wealth to project power into a war without expecting that they themselves become a target.

Jump door STC approvals for Cessna 182H
JoeWeber replied to wesk's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Indeed. Sealand have an FAA DAR that used the CAA STC to create an FAA 8110-3. Problem solved. -
And what about Hunter Biden's Second Amendment rights or that he's being persecuted by the IRS? Woke big government and Joe Biden are totally out of control.

This just in from outer space: US Senator Ron Johnson (for a bonus guess which party and state) has just announced that windmills are killing whales. Thank you for allowing me to destroy a portion of your brain. Now, back to regularly scheduled misinformation.

Ukraine has apparently breached the second defensive line on the way to Tokmak. It was less of a barrier than the first and there are reasons to believe the third will be easier still. Now they need to decide if they should charge on to Tokmak or wheel left and right to roll up the second defensive line from the rear and widen the breach. I like option two but either way, for now at least, Ukraine is kicking ass.
