Whatever nonsense statement that meets your needs is good enough apparently. You know damn well that's an absurd comparison. You must also know, or at least by now you should know, it'll get hammered. Why not simply be honest? Simply state the truth which is that as long as you are getting yours you do not give a fuck what happens to anyone else? Set yourself free.

I'm guessing you envision someone peeling hundreds off of a fat roll. Look man, yes. Obviously, and certainly yes. Even if they had spent every penny fairly and equally that would still be the answer. When you ask if the sky is blue the answer will always be yes. Now if you ask why does the sky seem blue, that will get a different range of answers.

Dammit, I knew there was a cheap and quick workaround that bypasses the game show size checks I wrote to those patent lawyers. Gawd, I can be such a doof.

I think so but it's a tough call. Initially I thought it was ET controlling the electronic voting machines. For certain it's only those two possibilities, right?
-
Sure. The left is perfectly open about which future things we'll take instead of some more money today, not so the right. They scream patriotism and USA! and angrily argue they aren't homophobic, misogynistic, racist or selfish all while turning a blind eye to the consequences of Trumpism. They're laughing at us all the way to the bank, I guess.
-
FWIW, I do appreciate your response. I don't disagree that the left can be tone deaf at times. But it was what matters most to you that drives my curiosity today. It seems to me that your main, if not sole, focus, are the transient economic benefits of a Trump Presidency. In exchange, you'll gladly accept the diminution of rights of certain fellow Americans, a deconstruction of historic constitutional separation of powers, oversight and checks and balances and reduced prestige on the world stage. Further you willingly accept foreign interference in our elections and a President who uses his powers for personal gain. All things we on the left find quite strange and none of which seem to be a passing bother to the right. At the bare minimum I would expect any patriotic American to be willing to endure sacrifice to protect our country from foreign attack. But, apparently, the money comes first these day's. Thank you for the reply.

Thank you. Please explain what you mean by this: " We got into this mess by being more concerned with winning than what's good for the country."
-
That's all speculation and supposition. Putting aside whether the local left gets the consequences of impeachment, my question was to you: is there anything Trump is actually doing now that would cause you to say enough and vote for a centrist Democrat?
-
I ask seriously, and not only of you but of any of the hard right leaners here, is there anything Trump is actually doing now that would cause you to say enough and vote for a centrist Democrat?
-
You would argue with a wall.

Youtube isn't getting out. No matter, Parrot on.

Oh wise one, do they sit in a half circle at your feet, ears bent for every pearl of wisdom?

You don't use the taxiways? Who paid for the parachute landing area acreage that you use for free? Maybe you do pay more rent than anyone but it doesn't come close to the cost of owning the place. So you know, another PennDOT fund subsidizes Mifflin Counties property tax obligation. No, I don't think it makes you the equivalent of Frederich Engels. You are simply being stubborn and dishonest. You know full well what you pay in doesn't come close to the real expenses. What's the hangar rent, $800 a month? That's $9600 a year. Even if you are putting 300 hours a year on each 182, which is not likely, that's 7200 gallons of fuel taxed at 59 cents a gallon. You are still under $14K per year. Somebody elsewhere is picking up part of your tab.
-
No problem. Any help from these? 2012 Mifflin County: Mifflin County Airport — $200,556 to construct a hangar taxiway. 2010 $170,625 to update their master plan & to design a hangar taxiway. 2009 Mifflin County Airport—$250,000 to construct a 10-unit aircraft storage hangar; You also benefit from the Pennsylvania State Aviation Development Fund which is funded through the collection of taxes on Jet Fuel.

The first sentence was relevant and on point which around here ain't too shabby.
-
Turtle, please focus before replying. Wrong post.
-
But they weren't counting the same voters. And, BTW, do you have time for this with all the reading BIGUN provided for your education? And what about proving me wrong that you are being subsidized at SDHV? You could start by showing how the 2019 $200,000 AIP grant to rehabilitate existing Hangars and another $30,000 for designing a new aviation fuel system doesn't benefit you.
-
Who? Is there a shortage? I'd hazard there are a few just here.
-
Turtle, let me help you out. Put your left or right index finger and thumb together. Roll the remaining three fingers (if you still have them) into your palm. Now touch the end of your nose with the index finger and thumb. Now open the two just slightly more than the width of your nose and move both closer to your face 1". Now press together the thumb and index finger until your nose hurts and welcome to the new Democratic Party.

We're not playing Hold 'em. We're playing get rid of 'im. Different game with different rules.

Oh, yes, you do. It won't be long before we tell you and your dirty oil to go frack yourselves.

For Brent it is about being wrong. And, even though you irritate the fuck out of me sometimes, you are a without a doubt a high caliber and very honest guy. So it's really no surprise that you do what you do. -

Thanks. You saved me the trouble of Googling it. -

That's cute but not what I asked. Seriously, you have a real talent for avoidance. I simply was curious if you had the ability to see any downsides; you know, the other half of weighing the evidence. FYI, I'm not opposed to fracking. I am strongly opposed to the massive transfer of wealth to the middle east and believe anything that weakens the one trick pony Russian economy is a good thing. -

I think you absolutely see it as USA! USA! USA!. I was making no argument for or against fracking. I simply see it as revealing that you extoll the effects like a High School cheer. In any case, as I asked previously, economics and climate change aside, do you see any downsides to fracking?
