  1. Could be. On the other hand you really have to shout out Ed Scott who was first to theorize that fewer USPA Officials would result in fewer embarrassments for USPA Members.
  2. Maybe if education wasn't such a burdensome expense you might have, well, oh, never mind.
  3. I'm thinking this matter has already been taken up by the USPA Broom and Rug Committee for eventual referral to the BOD Member Hall of Fame Committee. Hard on Luke, sure, but if you're Mike or Sherrie life's bright, shining light just got a little softer.
  4. Lichens and algae aren't crops? I'm guessing you don't have many friends who are Reindeer. Try to get out more.
  5. Sure, but did they spiff you some Chick-fil-A?
  6. They're doing it, if traffic in Oregon is any measure, but the numbers aren't particularly meaningful compared to the California population. Also, it appears to be a good trade with a strong in-migration component of highly educated, high earning, and younger taxpayers. I don't know, maybe if the lame stream media would quit with all of those fake news stories about tornados, hurricanes, arctic vortexes, lead water pipes, governor kidnappings, floods of brown people overwhelming essential services like the gun clubs, forced gay conversions, the perils of arming kids for school, etc, etc, there would be more interest in moving out from some folks.
  7. Same as Speakers Corner except it's sort of free here. Great idea, no learning curve required.
  8. Cascading failures to achieve. Maybe online poker, just a thought.
  9. 2018? Didn't you have a DZ and a job that year?
  10. Consider farm land that has a feature of interest. I picked up one 20 acre chunk 10 years ago that has appreciated 400% and it's not buildable---yet. Low tax rates and some income while you ride it out. I am always on the lookout for 10-30 acre bits somewhere in the path of an urban growth boundary.
  11. I'm starting to see the problem here. Some of you guy's don't grasp what Brent is talking about when he's discussing climate models. He's thinking bikini models. Salubrious? I wouldn't go that far but in fairness I can sort of see how certain tiers of our current AGW intelligentsia might be in favor of global warming.
  12. I concede. You are right. I'm thinking I'm better suited to other arenas, adieu.
  13. It's not my moral compass that is spinning out of control and if you knew me you'd know that I don't need co-signers to do what I think is right. As ever, concern for others that might come with no personal benefit, and possibly some cost, is in short supply everywhere--not directed at you just a flat observation.
  14. It's like this: 2+2 equals TuTu. That's what is going on in math and that's what needs to be stopped: they want boys to wear girls ballet clothes.
  15. Doug, thanks. At this stage I have no illusions, believe me. That said, I've seen a lot of jumpers do things for no other reason than because they felt it was the right thing to do which is more what I'm getting at. Also, I'd like to think we could do something more than rise up in support of other people rising up in support. Probably not, though.
  16. There is no Skydiving/Skydivers nexus point that is more real for US skydiving than Florida. In truth, many other countries rely on access to the training skills, jump opportunities and manufacturing capability in Florida for their own circumstances. And yet, here we are: the highest levels of government in Florida are demonstrably bigoted and focused on self serving policies crafted for political gains regardless of any harm to some of their own taxpaying citizens, or anyone else for that matter. If we care about our LGBTQ brothers and sisters, what do we do? What do we ask our manufacturers to do? What about Russian aggression in Ukraine? What do we ask our manufacturers to do? What do we ask USPA to do. Normally, I like to just come out and flatly state what we should do. Tonight, I'm having trouble and need some help.
  17. Fish have longer memories. Try recalling some of the snarky, expertly on the teetering edge of a PA, things you've said over time. Not to me but to anyone on offer. Of course, as you mention it, thanks for being dragged kicking and screaming to a soft agreement that Canada is a poor defense partner. I might suggest, that as ugly American proud as I am of my countries contribution to Ukraine, the protection of Ukrainians, and world democracy, you might elevate your wishful thinking about Canada's contribution to something more akin to embarrassment.

    BLM

No kidding? What does your Black Friend say? Black lives Matter says: “Patrisse Cullors is the Executive Director of Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation (BLMGNF),” the statement read. “She serves in this role in a volunteer capacity and does not receive a salary or benefits. Patrisse has received a total of $120,000 since the organization’s inception in 2013, for duties such as serving as spokesperson and engaging in political education work. Patrisse did not receive any compensation after 2019.” The statement continues. “To be abundantly clear, as a registered 501c3, BLMGNF cannot and did not commit any organizational resources toward the purchase of personal property by any employee or volunteer. Any insinuation or assertion to the contrary is categorically false.” Also, to an unemployed ex-Tandem Master the numbers might seem giganzo but to anyone buying houses, well, not so much. Now she may be nefarious (I'll wait a bit), and I'm sure you are offended that she's both black and a lesbian, although probably not in equal parts, but maybe you should Google "How to Fucking Google" and get some more solid information before posting your racist, bigoted trash about who lives in a stolen mansion and who appears to be investing in tract homes.
  19. You might go back and read some of the caustic digs you post. No matter, time to go our separate ways.
  20. Some of this dialogue reminds me of when I first started traveling out of the country decades ago. I was sort of steeped in the ugly American meme, you know, checked shorts, loud everywhere etc., I told myself I would be different. What I found was that there were as many ugly everyones out there and some a damn sight uglier than Americans. I also noticed that wherever they went Americans were generous and kind and helpful and, invariably, were so perceived. That's one big reason I am proud to be American.
  21. My error as the core point I was making is that NGO's have gone short of their defense obligations and it is becoming glaringly obvious now. So you know, €2 Billion likely won't pay for dumpster services during clean-up if Ukraine comes out of this with a country. Weapons from stocks are what they need now, not hopes and prayers later. To be completely jingoistic here, I am proud that America is doing so much and in a timely manner for Ukraine.
  22. Large numbers of people seem unsuited to the vote, it seems. Then, of course, the bigger the game the more opportunity to create a system of favoritism over the best outcome for the most. I'm betting on the crooks.
  23. I laughed my ass off at that. The west is doing it somehow some way. Now. We need to do it now, and apparently we are.
  24. Yep, and at the end of the day it comes down to who is doing what. https://www.nato.int/nato_static_fl2014/assets/pdf/2021/6/pdf/210611-pr-2021-094-en.pdf This chart also tells a tale:
  25. Oh, I know that. I was just being glib.
