  1. Well, it's less offensive than peaking in your sisters underwear drawer, I suppose, but for we elderly the idea that anyone is just a keystroke away from legitimately looking under our skirts is just a little bit smarmy.
  2. Back to the critics corner, did I miss where Brent or BillE posted that McConnell is obviously demented and needs to go after freezing up during his presser? No? Then never mind.
  3. Nah, he flavors his prose for effect and, like everyone, flubs it from time to time. That said when reading this audience I'm convinced he doesn't see any daylight between you and richravizza, for example.
  4. I'm still not sure. For example, in post #68 here he again strongly inferred we are a very sorry bunch. I mean, how much of an apology are you looking for?
  5. No disagreement. Maybe had Winsor the prescience of knowing how his artless analogy would be received here he'd have chosen a different set of words. Besides, wasn't it you who a couple years back introduced some of us to Winsor as being one of the least politically correct people on offer?
  6. Neither. He'd just learned there was nothing on Hunter Biden's laptop.
  7. In other news, another car carrier, this one with 3000 cars on board, is on fire in the North Sea. Early finger pointing is at one of the 25 EV's on board. Last year one with 4000 luxury cars on board (including Bentleys which should never be mixed with other cars) burned and sank off the Azores. Again, EV batteries were in the blame circle. Not a good look.
  8. Indeed, and that was exactly what I conveyed. You nailed it.
  9. If you choose to read it that way, I suppose. Some might argue that jumping with only two parachutes is akin to suicide. In Winsor's present testimony I tend to regard the usage as being somewhere between literary license and a poor choice of words. Now maybe he is a callous, victim blaming, asshat who took pleasure in thinking that a decent kid was viciously murdered by mentally impaired mongrels I just didn't take it that way.
  10. I didn't take it as victim blaming but rather that he was pointing out that there are some streets you don't walk no matter your sense of belonging. That truth should resonate with anyone who has traveled to hard places. No way does that mean that any harm that results is deserved.
  11. You are without any doubt the most triggerable poster here, against stiff competition too. Do you really in the shallow depths of your imagination believe Winsor was saluting the outcome?
  12. You are more than welcome. To the extent that I can offer any lessons I have learned in my years as a Skydiver, Pilot, DZO and Turbine Engine guy to anyone willing to listen to my nonsense is the real reason I post here. Everyone should please feel free to ask me anything publicly or privately on any topic if they think I have any use at all.
  13. I recognize that, except for Phil, I'm unlikely to get much sympathy here but the actuaries who calculate my insurance premium seem rather convinced that climate change is for realsies.
  14. Sure, but for the last 60-70 years being oblivious has been a successful life's strategy for the majority of Americans.
  15. If you like, OK by me, but I think most of us here would agree there is a definable reward doing so. Unlike driving the wrong way down streets to prove it can be done, for example.
  16. Just because Winsor apparently believes we are inarticulate and uncomprehending dimwits doesn't mean he's by necessity wrong to point out that knowingly putting ones self in a situation where harm might suddenly arrive ain't none too smart neither.
  17. I guess the moral of the story is there is a time and a place for everything, including being woke.
  18. And you are proof that Righties have no sense of delivery.
  19. Good googaloo, man, Kallend has a Double First and was awarded the Christopher Columbus hat, too. If anybody needs to go it's not him. Although I do have some ideas.
  20. Net positive, but mainly because we have so many operators who cut corners on maintenance an pilot training. Understand this, aircraft maintenance and pilot error events will not end. There will be some number fewer but whether everyone will agree that the huge additional costs are justified remains to be seen. The bottom line here is that it's still aviation and our Gods are weak so many bad things will still happen.
  21. Those are awesome skills but can you chug a beer standing on your head or put a condom on with one arm in a sling?
  22. Hmm.. Well at least I sort of made a point.
  23. The thing is they do not believe in "Country", they believe in "God and Country"; they believe in submission so any acts that are discordant with that idea aren't truly patriotic. Hence, to be truly patriotic you must believe in God and Country and submit.
