  1. Again, the elephant in the room. Once again a religion, like Christianity in America, that claims to be the solution to everything is on the cusp of forcing a democracy to bend to it's will against the threat of worse violence to come. What does this sound like to you? Is it what you don't say out loud about your own religious views? Is it how you justify supporting Trump or just continuing being registered as a Republican?
  2. So, last year I fired an attorney in the EU and insisted that the firm assign my preferred attorney to my file. She is really good and I've actually used my pull to get her assigned to some friends cases because she's the top choice in the firm, best I can tell. She's obviously trans and very overt. But because I'm mercenary and thus am only concerned about results I am unable to care about these things as others do.
  3. No need, I have plenty already, trust me. I've been on the teetering edge of expulsion for as long as I can recall, and not just here. I actually had my own chair outside the principals office. Jeez, I'm getting wet eyed just thinking about it.
  4. No kidding, I'm still waiting patiently for my first warning.
  5. Bickering over the comparative advantages of my customers genitalia is something I intend to continue avoiding. I figure soccer moms will sort this out amongst themselves the first time a third grade daughter engaging in mixed gender sports comes home with a cauliflower ear or gets clipped in a football game by a mean boy: as dear dad pointed out the one thing that all old assholes have in common is that they were all young assholes. That is to say we're not considered dicks because we have one. Because it's the right thing to do we need to be inclusive and try to make it work no matter how not right it may seem to some. But try as we might some experiments in inclusion are doomed to fail, like with Sky Boarders for example.
  6. And here was me and my dumb ass thinking I was cool for reading Pale Fire to purge Lolita from my memory banks.
  7. Go for it, I'm always inspired by the youth of today. I'll start asking around. In Anapa, I watched a Russian stand up a 'dactyl landing on the concrete tarmac. You could hear his boots hit 50 meters away.
  8. At least 20% of voters think Trump is innocent and being railroaded by the deep state, a weaponized justice department, and the Biden crime family. Another 15% simply think it's all bullshit and not important. Ignore the 15% and just focus on the 1 in 5. Subtract any Democrats invited to the jury pools and the odds are at least one juror votes not to convict.
  9. Looking at the maps of Russian fortifications, I am starting to wonder if the push towards Tokmak is a great a plan as I have previously claimed. Rather, look towards Russia out of Kharkiv. Ukraine holds the high ground above the Seversky Donets river which they can cross on their own territory and then left wheel into Russia where a thin single line of defensive fortifications are holding the line. They could do that without a single piece of western armor and really put the Russians in a tizzy. Then use all of the western kit to punch through where ever the Russians pull troops to deal with the backfield breakthrough. Yes, Medvedev has stated that Russian territory would be defended with nuclear weapons but...... Why? Well, sometimes you need to crap or free up the toilet. If Ukraine doesn't end the "Big Show" with at least one hundred billion dollar gain, which thus far have not materialized, western interest will most certainly morph into pushing for peace at the cost of Ukrainian territory. Why again? Because at the end of this Ukrainian summer we will have accomplished job 1: degrading substantially Russian military potential and thus Russian aspirations, reorienting the geopolitical balance vis a vis the US, Russia and China in our favor, and most importantly showing our adversaries that NATO is not a toothless Tiger. Any one of those wins can be negated by just one of our partners tapping out which, because we are all democracies more or less and often much less, is always on offer.
  10. Come on, Bill, that was one hell of a diatribe and it elicited a fair bit of disagreement. Why make claims and then run away? You aren't running for USPA President I hope.
  11. Biden needs to get way ahead on this by announcing that abortion politics had absolutely nothing to do with the decision and, by the way, please someone tell Tommy Tuberville to go fuck himself.
  12. You are right, as you pose the question. I wasn't trying to defend Winsor, per se, I was more thinking of Feynman's initial explanation in his "The world From Another Point of View". Victim blaming is not only offensive but it is also low hanging fruit. Thar be dragons. "Geronimo. For God and Country, Geronimo." That's the problem. That's what we're up against and that is what is undermining our democracy.
  13. Right, it's as if Bill is willfully clueless about the abortion laws in his own state or what personal freedom really means.
  14. I reckon he heard it and believes it happened. Myself, I can hardly believe he believes that what he believes doesn't inform what he believes, if you can believe that.
  15. You wouldn't mind directing my attention to your source for this delightful story, would you? I am honestly torn over which I'll enjoy most, that it is absolutely word perfect true, that it's a regurgitated meme, or that you just made it up. In any case thanks for the laugh.
  16. I'll look into it further but I think internet service was spotty at best on Elba. In my humble opinion the bastard needs to be in a box where each and every call he makes is listened to, transcribed, and then shredded and flushed so he feels right at home.
  17. I'm not sure why I wanted to give Winsor the benefit of any doubt but I was wrong to do so. My apologies.
  18. I knew you would do that just as you did the same thing to me in private mail. Be brave Chuck.
  19. Networking, I think they call it. You've never needed to socialize with unsavory international criminals in the course of doing business at Qualcomm?
  20. Yes he's a dope but he has seen US Secrets. How do you propose keeping his trap shut in Russia?
  21. Yes, I was out of line there and absolutely revealed my racist nature. In my defense, I had a shot of TIA MARIA in a coffee recently and didn't like it. I hope that helps.
  22. Alrighty then, so then 1divided by 5 times 2 is the answer? Olof, help me out here.
  23. It might be that the push to Tokmak I was hoping for is underway. It seems the Ukrainians are rotating front line troops and bringing up some western trained and equipped armored brigades. It's a high stakes play but taking Tokmak puts critical Russian assets in Crimea in range of tube artillery.
