If I were to say, "It is obvious that all Republicans are frothing idiots that have been bitten by rabid dogs", would that make it true? No. It wouldn't. You are saying the entire national media leans far to the left, but then refuse to show any proof. Substantiate your assertion with some facts. You go on about the ways in which Fox is essentially counterbalancing an existing left-leaning media conspiracy. Before we can deal with any individual media outlet's particular slant, we have to have a yardstick of where the center is and a way to judge. If it is so clear, it should be easy for you to document with indisputable facts.

Here is where I think you are off base. I don't care if a far-right news channel does fine. They have the right to do it if they want and if the market supports it. That doesn't mean that everything they say is correct. The "left-leaning news" never had total control over the news agenda, nor was that ever an reasonable possibility. We have way too many media outlets and too free a system for that. While it is fine for Fox to lean far to the right, don't claim it is in some role as a freedom-fighter for opressed Republicans everywhere. All "Lefties" don't just choose to pick holes in coverage by Fox because they are on the right. Mostly, it is done when they are just wrong. I'll take issue with left-leaning organizations (like the Washington Post) as well, when they are wrong. It is when the ideology, left, right or otherwise, takes precedence over facts and rationality that people make first-class asses out of themselves.

Well, in itself, it isn't. But it makes a lot of assumptions that aren't necessarily true. Before a "bias" can be "neutralized", it must exist. Second, is the goal fairness of treatment and reporting, or are they simply trying to swing the perceived bias to one that they like? That accomplishes nothing. If you read the article they wrote, you'll see that it is as uselessly derrotory as they say the liberals are to them. Perhaps it is time for them to get some maturity and deal with a real problem in a constructive way.

If it is trying to be real, it is sad. If it is trying to be satire, it is bad. It didn't strike me as being good at either. Just my $.02. I'm not saying California politics aren't messed up. That wasn't the issue.

I'm biased, but I don't think it will, unless you are in one of a few specific fields that favor Macs, such as graphic design and primary education. Even there, I think you can do quite well on a PC.

Dave, I'm not the biggest fan of California, but the source of that "news" is pretty much crap. The quality of writing is poor and the slant is ridiculous. "CNSNews.com is a Division of the Media Research Center" MRC claims to be: "The Leader in Documenting, Exposing and Neutralizing Liberal Media Bias" So putting an alternative spin on the facts and skewing everything to support a conservative agenda is better? That is like saying the way to fix the college admissions inequalities that favor minorities is to support the Klan. It doesn't make any sense if the "cure" is as bad as the problem.
