Is this story a humorous comment? It does contain humorous elements but I didn't feel like laughing when I had finished reading it. Simplifying can be part of an analytical strategy that helps you understand complex matters and provides a basis on which discussions can grow (obviously).

IMO there's nothing wrong with static line. It's a good feeling to get out there on your own vs "being dragged".

Hey Santa, I know what you're going through! I quit last sunday - that's 8 days without now. But don't forget: it can't get worse than it already is, right?! What is keeping me motivated is that I safe the money that I would have spent for cigarettes (sweet sweet cigarettes) and when I have enough I'll get a cool helmet or something else. I used to spend up to 100 Euros/month (!!) for cigarettes - so I should be able to afford a new bonehead by the end of january.

I once dreamed that I wasn't able to pull anything and falling at terminal the earth got bigger very fast. Of course I woke up before I actually went in but it was scary nonetheless. I thought about it for a while and came to the conclusion that I had to practice my emergency procedures on a more regular basis. I was pretty nervous in the plane for a few jumps until I had to ride down my first reserve. Now I know that I can handle it. Just get in that airplane and do what you have to do!
