  1. Very nice, thanks for the photo! I think the Dorniers are very pretty, especially from the inside with the ground vanishing rapidly below.
  2. Another vote for the G92, for all the reasons you mention. For those who don't know it, seating is typically on two benches running the length of the cabin and jumpers straddle the benches so that they are facing fully aft. The only time it's not comfortable in there is if you're at the rear end of one of those benches, and the people who got in before you have left you virtually nothing to perch on - then it's hell. On the other hand, it gives your calves and thighs a pretty good workout! For me it's a shame that Caravans have become so prevalent in the UK, although I understand it all comes down to running and maintenance costs. In my experience, when they're full of jumpers and fuel, most are noticeably slower than other turbines. They're also cramped and the C of G rules prohibit bigger launches. I have never come across a G92 with benches. Most of my G92 jumps have been out of the HA-ACY and HA-ACZ. I know there's one stationed in the UK. HA-ACO, if I'm not mistaken - is that the one you're talking about? Would very much like to try one with benches.
  3. My favourite: Dornier DO28 G92 - seats 15 very comfortably, really fast, big door.

    Altimaster Neptune 2

Red Neptune 2 with Neptune Armor 2, mounted on a wrist band as a visual altimeter. O-ring broke a long time ago, was replaced by 3 rubber bands (see photos).
  6. There's a reason for that: Look at this Italian training video!
  7. Agreed. But let's be honest here: England sucked ass today. They really have to take their heads out of their butts and start playing the way we know they can if they want to stand a chance against Portugal - with or without Deco/Costinha.
  8. Man, that was definitely the ugliest match I have seen in a long time. The Netherlands were the better team for 80% of the match, they just failed to score. I'm totally not impressed with Portugal's performance and I sure hope that England kicks them out of the tournament, which I doubt though. You can't really blame the referee for all the yellow and red cards, in fact there should have been more (Figo should have been sent off for his attack on van Bommel for example...). Let's hope that Figo tries something equally dumb against Rio Ferdinand or Sol Campbell...
  9. Never heard of international shipping?
  10. What's up? I heard someone got their own gear? Soooo, where's my f%$§in beer?
  11. I got mine 2 weeks ago and am still waiting to jump it... Bloody winter.
  12. I got a Rainbow freefly suit second hand. While I cannot comment on their customer service, I can say a thing or two about the quality of their products. My suit seems to be built of a very strong and durable material - I put it to the test under various conditions and in various places (meaning body parts). Although my right knee was hurting quite a lot from the unexpected encounter with the taxi way, the suit does not show any signs of damage... Mine came with all the usual features and one or two more like swoop cords (which I don't use) and the high collar (which I like very much, especially during the winter season). The fit of my suit is excellent, but I guess that's just pure luck because I bought it second hand. I like wearing it on the ground, in the air, while packing and hanging out on the DZ. They're pretty much the standard in Germany (Relative Work as well as Freefly). If you want quality you go for Rainbow over here. You might want to check out their site: Rainbow Design [Sorry for the shitty pic but it's the only one I got...]
  13. Some time ago Bill Booth said something about these modifications not being authorized or recommended by RWS. (Do a search on this site, I am too lazy right now...) To put it in a nutshell his advice was to buy a new Vector. I have the same problem, being the owner of a wonderful Vector II which I love very much despite the fact that I won't be able to take into a head down. If you want to freefly, buy a rig that's been constructed for this kind of flying.
  14. Unfortunately, the only british TV Channel available in Germany is BBC. And they don't care to show any background information about ugly English football players, if I'm not completely wrong. Your post sounds as if I haven't missed anything worth watching though.
  15. Thanks man! (Prüferverband --- hätte ich auch selbst drauf kommen können...) Hey Jerry! Honestly, I don't know if it's got soft or hard housings. I bought it via internet and it was pretty cheap. No biggie if I would have to replace the soft housings. A friend of mine owns a '91 TD C and it's already equipped with hard housings - so I'm not really expecting to discover any soft bullshit on my new baby. Thanks for the warning, though!
  16. I've just bought a '92 Teardrop Classic and haven't been able to find a manual on the internet. Alright guys, why are you hiding that thing from me and where is it to be found?
  17. who you mean Shrek? yeah - come on England - lets go all the way!! Yeah, I think that's the guy. The boy who looks like Mr. Rudolph Reindeer after a bootle of fine red vine. Just like this little fellow---> but with the red dot in the middle of his so called "face".
  18. Just finished watching the England vs Croatia match and I enjoyed it very very much. That drunken-bastard-look-alike Wayne Rooney is what I call a fucken goal getter. Fantastic match! I have to admit that I'm still dreaming of the all-time classic: England vs Germany in the final match but unfortunately the German team (or what you call a German team nowadays) is a bunch of lousy amateurs.(Those bastards!) All my best wishes to the English team, you could do me a real favour: Don't let the French win the Euro '04! God save the Queen!
