it's just the same as forward and backward movement you push the hips in the direction you want to go the rest of the body will follow or you good do a funk slide which is where you bring one arm bent in and the othe straight as bit unstable i find but good fun cya mooose

WOOOOOOOOhooooooooo thats me finished my 4 weeks of work ofshore in west africa and have now got 4 weeks of jumping yeeeeeeeeehaaaaaa cya moooooooose

great D.Z I know i live right by it loads of good advice the babylon boys do regular fun jumps and the coach jumps are worthwhile, the chicitas are loveeeely. the licensing isn´t really a liocense its more of a way of saying that you are responsible enough to choose who you jump with and how man people you jump with you might not require a check out dive maybe bring a video of you capabilities and have a chat with the people there. the beer is cheap the people are friendly the skydiving is good however the weather does get shite everynow and then and in the summer you have the swimming pool the tennis courts the bar, and the beach is a hop jump and a skip away cya mooose

back tracking i thyink is the most comfterable p.s i cant spell moose
-
mind you tracking dives with a rw suit on is fun super speed with booties!!!!!!
-
Well me being a right fat bastard i guess i should have got my self a big old baggy suit but instead i got myself a fairly tight around the mid section and a bit baggyish around the legs and arms, it has helped me to learn how to fly with whichever size the person i am jumping with just my ten cents i think you should learn the body flight plus sit you will find fairly difficult in a baggy suit cya mooose

i haven't jumped in 5 weeks and i did 7 jumps yesterday and i ache man ohhhhhh i also did my pre first tandem jump yesterday as my mate is doing his tandem masters consol jumps, i was crapping my self climbing into the otter without a rig or an altimetre. pffffffffft cya moooose

That dive turned out to become a bit of a coach dive, learning some things I was doing wrong. Yeah, with my sit-fly, right now I need to get my legs farther apart and out and my arms more down. I spent another dive working on those specific things by myself today. just a thought to pass on to you remember when you spread your legs remember to keep em pushed down, as i used to and sometimes still do, which is slow right down but bring my knees up and compensate with my arms backwards but am getting better just a thought for ya!
-
I reckon you probably learn a lot more and have lots more fun on smaller ways as you can do loads more stuff as soon as you start doing the big ways ( not that i don't enjoy them as they are a blast) you spend the whole jump concentrating on where everyone is just my 0.10 euros cya moose

safety postion (or comfort position) just go on to a ball (forget about arching) and learn how to track of on your back from a sit position as this will slow your speed gradually and you will have a better observation. when doing a sit jump prior to break off have a good look around, up down left and right then gradually go into a back track as you can see other people track on to your front track some more do a barrel roll and when your in a good clear area wave off and pull. but like they're saying be safe and have fun and relax a bit don't try to hard or it ends up going to a pile of pooh cya moose

everything is a rudder when in freefall for example i did and 8 way and i was base with the other guys in head down carving around me so they just told me to go into a stand bring one leg up and just tilt the foot inside its very stable and you can just adjust the speed speed by the angle of your foot very cool jump to watch them all go screaming around me. also while in empuria yesterday the babylon guys where doing some load organising i was the base and we started off everything nice and tight i was litterally in a stand with our chests actually touching in a stand and as we were getting to about 6 grand 2 other guys just fñlipped to head down and took grips on both my legs it really blew me away sorry rambling there i found to sort out my problems in sit was to jump with less experiance jumpers and try and keep up with them in the air you really have to work hard and its great practice just my 1/2 euro cya mooose

I use empuria as my standard DZ these days and i have complete praise for these guys. you could always get your mates video of your sit fly head down carnage jump and ask the babylon boys to check it out and then give you some tips they also do quite of load organising which is real cool and really the 40 quid quite worth it as your paying your slot there slot plus video and tuition. they certainly helped me cya moose

woohoooo did my 200th today and am about to hit the town in empuria what a cool jump 9 way tracking dive on sunset it was all going well when i got caught in a burble and sinked below the group (yes skreamer benw and wingnut i am still the sink master) so i spent the rest of the jump on my back trying to get back up to them, but it was really cool especially when some of the big boys from babylon said they want to come along very cool i also think it´s time to try out the slr i got for xmas soon woooohoooo this sport is so cool i can´t get enough of it blue skies everyone mooose

a good way to think about it all is to grab the out side legs of your jumpsuit and dearch as if you are hugging a beach ball and head down. now this can all go to ratshit when you have someone ahead of you (especially when you want to get them on film) so make sure your head is down point your toes. a good idea is to get the whole musscle memory thing going. just stand on the ground and really straigten out feel the muscles on the outside of your knees bunch up and try and get the same feeling as you are tracking. just my 50 Euro cents worth cya moose

I usually jump with sandles on and i really don't feel the cold that much. However i was in empuriabrava in spain 3 weeks ago and it was early and a bit nippy and 3 guys were there about to do a 3 way. so i asked if i could jump with them and i'll film them so up we go. I turn around to them and tell them to take there time in the door as there is no rush as we are in the porter so out goes the 1st group and we wair 6/7 seconds or so and then i step out my god i thought i ws going to freeze, and you can guess the guys were taking my advice and taking there time. So i'm standing on the camera step thinking "hurry up hurry up" as my face is getting sand blasted. they jump out and the r.w exit turned into a head down i'm talking a perfect flower which they hold for about 10 seconds which gives me a bit of time to do some head up freeflying and then onto my belly again. well as soon as they broke up they somehow managed to find their box position anyhow i'm waffling. the moral of the story is i wasn't wearing gloves whilst jumping, while it was -30'C outside, all i can say it was somewhat diffiicult to curl my fingers around my Hacky whhich took me 2 attempts. got on the ground straight to the DZ shop , gloves tube scarf and some lipsil please!!!!!

well in a perfect situation i guess all you can do is light up that hamlet cigar and enjoy the moment

With the exception of two tandem jumps, I have never used a ripcord in my life. They start all students at Skydive Chicago with BOC systems. It's the same at Skydive Illinois. Why learn something that will have to be unlearned anyway? As far as spring loaded pilot chutes and ripcords on reserves, that's a good idea because it gets the PC out quicker, and is also better from an unstable body position, which if you're pulling your reserve you're probably not stable. Hackey just an observation here. A B.O.C doesn't actually mean to say if it's a rip cord or a throw away pilot chute. it's just the position of the deploying method, i.e you can have a throw away on your leg strap or on your B.O.C likewise with a rip cord (mind you rip cord goes from the hip not the leg strap). One more thing are there any other types of deployement methods?? other than hip mounted (or leg strap) and B.O.C??? cya mooooooose

Just a little story for you while i was in empuria last time i met a bloke who i had met 4 months before who did his aff in empuria now he's got 33 jumps and was on a throw away and he did a solo in the U.K and went to deploy at 4000 feet however he forgot that he was on throw away so he kept his pilot chute in his hand so he was wondering when his chute was going to open and smoked it down untill 1500 feet which at this point he thought it's time to cut away and deploy his reserve. so his right hand came forward to the cutaway pad but he's still got his pilot chute in hand and cant grab the pad. so he says to himself "fuckit" and just deploys his reserve as he does this he lets go of the pilot chute and what do you know an eclipse of the sun! 2 chutes out and he lands it. quite a scary one for you all to think about. i just thought to myself hmmmmmmmmmmmm ok hope your next jump goes well!!! this pidgeons gotta fly
