Many Many Many congrats!!! BEER!!!! I am in line with you and will soon be looking for my own. I have sold all kind of random stuff to be able to afford one My entire paintball set up for one. Like you said, "one hobby for another" One can only afford the time and money for a couple of hobby's (me at least) -

Can you not pull your reserve when this happens? Do you know what happened? I ask these types of questions a lot so I can get an idea of some of the things that go wrong. I am new in the sport and I love it more then I can explain. I understand that things will go wrong and I find myself spending time thinking what I might do during those times. Some time during my canopy rides at around 1,000' I wonder what I would do if something happened to my canopy at that height, would I be able to react and get the the reserve handle without freezing. I think yes but those are questions that cant truly be answered unless your in that situation. Its a scary activity but I love it... A lot of the deaths I read about are from low turns and collisions under canopy and such. I don't even know where I am going with this just thought I would type it out anyway

So a demo jumper is someone who comes to jump at sporting events and other DZ's? I am really a confused wetard now...

I am 6' 165lbs and the smallest I have ever jumped is a 200. That was fun but I think I am going to get a 210 when I get my own gear. I went through aff with a 260 and after a couple went down to a 230. Stuck with that until my most recent jump. 210 seems about right for a couple hundred jumps or so, maybe a 190 after while, who knows...

Still kind of in the dark as to what a demo jumper is. After I find out I am sure that line will be clear to me I to am young in the sport but I CANT be nudged out. I must continue this and will no matter what find a way. I hope they figure something out

I can spend about 2,500 on a complete rig but I am having trouble finding one. I am comfortable with flying a 200 but trying to find a container that will be able to fit a 170 or 190 eventually. Are there containers that can fit from say a 210-190?

What exactly is a "Demo jumper"? I am a young guy, don't know much about insurance policies, I don't know much about law. What I do know is I love skydiving, I am completely addicted and don't know what I would do without it. What does all this mean to a person like me? More money to be able to jump paid to USPA? No more jumping? I do understand some of whats being said but whats it all boiling down to?

I was right there with you through my level 3. After your level 3 your world will open up a bit up there. I have jumped 13 times as of today and freefall is the most AMAZING thing!!! I do love the canopy ride to though. Keep it up and keep us updated.

I know you all on this BB read a TON of Whohoo graduation threads but here goes it anyway. I Graduated from my AFF and have completed 13 jumps as of today. I have to get through to level 14 before they let me go without a coach. I finished my level 11 about 3 hours ago. I have some stuff left to fill out on my card before I get my A license but its on its way

I myself am torn. Don't really have the money for the 10D but the 300D is plastic I am really stuck on the choice. I am going to have to read some more from ppl who have one or know a bit more then I.

Yep, I am most deff going to get rid of my G3 and go for the EOS Rebel. I think I am going to buy just the camera body. Any recommendations for lenses?

w0w your fast, you beat me to it. I was in the middle of editing my post I am going to go ahead and sell my G3 and buy the EOS digital rebel. Is there anywhere besides ebay they sell the 10D's used?

I have yet to read anything about a Canon G3 being used for any skydiving photography. Should I sell my G3 and purchase another type of camera? I could spend about 1k one. Any advice from anyone?

well I guess we are screwed. I only have the money for either a camcorder or a nice digi camera. I would much rather have a nice camcorder like the PC105. I posted about the G3 because my dad has one and I was going to see if its any good up there, if so I was going to gank it from him for awhile. Guess I am out of luck.

I have read a lot about that camera. They are supposed to be one of the best out there. A funny quote on one of the review sites was, "Pro's / Serious Hobbyists (5.0) The DCR-PC105 is certainly not for you, the vertical style alone looks terribly unprofessional." I thought that was funny. The vertical "matchbox" style is perfect for the side of a helmet

I didn't read a TON on it because I didn't have the time so I am sure I overlooked some of that info. I saw on the base jumping video's how much more distance you can cover horizontally with suits, pretty amazing! All stuff I pretty much could of figured out by myself, hence my noobship
