Definitely want the Colts to win, but I couldn’t help but wonder how bad ass the bears would be with a decent quarterback. They would be unstoppable. Their defense was awesome to watch every time someone got the ball it was like a swarm of piranhas going for that ball. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

That was awesome. Fucking awesome I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

I had a dream of a crab chasing me and he was wearing loafers, and there was lightning coming out of his eyes…does any one have a dream book. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Yea I have to say I love that coffee table as well, fuck I even like the rake hot dog idea. Who is coming over for some grilled hotdogs? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

So says you and a lot of anti war nuts. I think you might be suffering from selective memory loss. Remember the imminent danger we were in from the Iraqi WMD? Also remember that the administration it self has stopped looking for WMD and has admitted that there were none. So it’s not the anti war nuts who say the reasoning behind the war is false, but the statements made by this administration is enough to reach that conclusion. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

So starting a war on false basis that has resulted in more then 30,000 + deaths is not considered murder in your book? So what do you call it?Please lets not forget the UN said no WMD. Our own allies decided there was no reason to start this war (most of them) but this administration including the president did nothing but push for war. You don’t see them having any thing to do with innocents lives that have been lost? Please keep in mind that even if you consider this collateral damage this all of it was unneeded and unnecessary collateral damage. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

I guess I have two questions for you. 1. Who are the Islamofacists? 2. What’s is your reasoning or proof that they want to control the world, and make everyone convert to Islam? Looking back in history we have always had a much bigger interest in the Middle East then they have in us, and the reasons we are hated is because of are actions in the area. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

It is best to be straight and up front. Tell him what you expected and why. In a nice way. Don’t wait until your temper takes over. Ask him if you can talk to him and tell him how you think you should be getting paid more. If you can’t come to an agreement then you know it is time to move on or lower you’re standard. Moving on to newer things might be the solution. I worked my ass of for every boss I have had, but one appreciated it and showed that he appreciated it. All the other ones would give you the pat on the back but still took all that they could take. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

What cracks me up is how sunny can not see anything but his own narrow view. So let me get this straight the “terrorist” are like crusaders. How is it that we are in the “crusaders land”? How come we invaded their country for no reason, or at best for being stupid and falling for some BS? How come there are so many Christian solders and military bases on Muslims land? Who is exactly the crusader here? I don’t know maybe Sunny is watching some other war. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

If I remember correctly Democracy means the will of the majority, that’s why we vote on things. What most people vote for usually happens. The Majority of Iraq is Shia so I don’t see them having any thing but a Shia government unless we decide to interfere once again. Unfortunately at best Iraq will have a government much like Iran. That is not a great outcome at all, but it is an outcome many predicted before the war even started. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
-
As per that logic we should invade all of the Middle East. Aren’t all the people trying to kill us in Iraq considered “insurgents” from other countries? Aren’t all the Iraqi people handing out flowers and thanking us? Funny how we feel we have a right to start yet another war and the reasoning behind starting that war is interference of an already unjust war we have started. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

I believe it is the same as anything else it depends on the person. Some people can take anything way too far, and some can remain balanced. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

False accusations of Rape-What should be done?
Darius11 replied to Darius11's topic in Speakers Corner
DUKE Lacrosse team case. What should the punishment be when it is so obvious a case of someone lying and accusing the others of Rape? Again when it is an obvious lie, I do not mean every time someone gets the not guilty verdict but when it is obvious bullshit. I think the accuser should be sentenced to what the young men would have been if they were found guilty. Not trying to argue the Duke case, but would like to talk about what punishment if any should be delt to people who make obvious false rape accusations. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain -
Well your wrong, but anyone who likes megadeth must be cool;) I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Yeah........America is so bad in Iraq......
Darius11 replied to freeflir29's topic in Speakers Corner
Great Story. I know so many people my self included who fled war for the fear of death to come to the US. Most of the ones I know have made good lives for themselves, and have received a lot of hospitality from the American people. No Question that this is a great country and this story is one of the many examples as to why. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain -
I think it's about who you've presented yourself as, in this forum. All in all, this is a harmless amusing piece, but how some people take these things may be influenced by who is delivering it. It provides context and tone. Kind of like telling jokes about black people. If it's a black comedian, it's funny. He's basically making fun of himself. But if a white comedian tells the same joke, he's branded a racist. You post isn't nearly as extreme as the example above, but it's along the same lines. I get why they’re doing it, I am the Muslim guy who speaks up for Muslims when a lot of people just want to kill them all. I am the one who pulls your card if you make a BS statement. Still you don’t see me hunting John and making a statement about guns in an unrelated thread, I guess I don’t get why they have the need to. I think it’s just hate, when you have so much hate for a group of people you will find any excuse to make them look bad and inhumane. I know Amazon and know she is not a hateful person, but maybe she is just frustrated. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Honestly he thinks Tom Araya from Slayer is god, so he wouldn’t have a problem with it. But that’s the point I am sure someone would find it offensive in the Muslim world, just like I am sure someone somewhere would find the original joke offensive in the Christian world. What does that have to do with me? It just happens all the time now. JohnR will make a post about any thing negative relating to Muslims or Iran in any of my threads, or as a replay to any of my posts no matter how unrelated and irrelevant it might be. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Some people see beyond the color of skin. They see a problem in one community and not in another but they are not attributing the problem to race but instead to other issues. (The people in both situations did not act the way they did because of the color of their skin but because of their values which are independent of skin color.) so i ask again what’s the point of this thread? To say the people in NO have bad values that’s why so many died? Do you really think if it was a lot of white people you saw on TV there would be people trying to criticize the people in NO? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

I think Jen made a valid point. I mean what’s the reason of this thread. To say oh look the people in CO are better then the people in NO. Who did we see on TV a lot of African Americans. I think Jen pointed out what was trying to be said in between the lines. Which is: hey I think African Americans are stupid cause look the white people seem to have done fine and not needed help. Don’t be pissed at her for making it non-PC. I mean what’s the point of this thread? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Oh yea sorry about the riots, and terrorism that a small minority of Muslims have done. I’ll have to make sure to send all Muslims a memo, last time I forgot. I find it crazy that you, JohnR, and a few others seem to find a way to bring up something negative about Muslims in any of my posts/threads possible no matter how unrelated. I guess I don’t get it. I don’t try to hunt you or anyone else down and remind you of evil things some Christians, Woman, or white people have done. I know you said sarcasm, but it gets old and happened way to ofthen. If you have so much hate in your hearth that even when I post a joke in BF you feel the need to take a shot at Muslims or Iran then I guess I don’t have anything else to say. Oh yea and the joke was sent from an Iranian friend, and if you noticed it made fun of Iranians as well. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Ok. Sort of like the Village People tribute jump some of us were talking about last night... I guess there is a part in the move where one of the cowboys tells the other one “I wish I could quit you”. Here is a fake video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YRbuuQdxrw I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
