How do you know that? We haven't even voted yet! i'm voting for Ron! Who are you voting for?
-
Yeah just look at how well it meets the personal needs of a suicidal terrorist! Christianity teaches one to believe you are born weak and the only way to gain inner strength is by worshiping an invisible male dude that doesn’t pay taxes and thrives on billions of dollars and innocent youth! Don't worship me and i will send you to eternal pain! Lots of love there! Nothing like a religion that threatens you your whole life! A true religion teaches you are not born weak and YOU are the inner strength!

Yeah the Jester stick sounds like fun! A cool dive could be: 2way. Both start flat. Jumper A holds stick in Rt hand. Jumper B flies up and grabs stick with Lt hand. Time starts! B then rolls on back and flies under A to other side and hands off to A's left hand. Then A rolls over on back and flies under B to other side and hands off to B’s Rt hand. Both are back flying now. Then B rolls over flat and flies over A to other side and hands off to A’s Rt hand. Then A rolls over and flies over B to hand off to B’s Lt hand. Time stops. or Repeat sequence as time allows!

The word faith can have two different meaning here. One meaning is that God is the explanation. The other meaning is that you just have to except it as “nobody knows “or “they just are”. So to answer your question “Do we take science on faith?” which sense do you mean? Faith/religion has one final explanation for the existence of life: God. No further study or enquiry is needed! It’s the simple; explain all, lazy way of “thinking”! Science has no final explanation! Its an ongoing research project! Science does not know why the laws of physics exist or where they came from! Lift a ball up in the air and drop it! That’s all we have to work with! The laws of physics where born. Do we know where the ball came from….no! Do we know why it behaves like it does….no! But that doesn’t keep us from giving up! So no we don’t take science on faith/religion sense! If we did we would no longer study our world. We would still believe that the earth was the center of the universe like the church believed. Do we take science based on the “they just are” sense? yes we do! Paul Davies concludes: “The alternative is to regard the laws of physics and the universe they govern as part and parcel of a unitary system, and to be incorporated together within a common explanatory scheme. In other words, the laws should have an explanation from within the universe and not involve appealing to an external agency. The specifics of that explanation are a matter for future research.

I would like to tell you a bit more about God
zagijimzoo replied to DropDgorgeous's topic in Speakers Corner
Yup its just like santa claus! Humans are very slow at evolving critical thinking! The Greeks thought the stars where the gods that controlled them! That the earth was the center of the universe! That the world was a flat disk floating in the ocean! And they really believed it! But luckily a few of them evolved critical thinking and proved those concepts wrong! Future generations will say the same about this time in history when the masses believed that a male dude created everything and lives above the clouds watching over us! Some of us have evolved into critical thinking but the masses still believe in elves! Its just a matter of time! Hopefully only a few more generations! How much scientific evidence does it take? I’m surprised they gave up the flat earth concept! Look how far we’ve come! -

Excellent flick! 1.7 million views! Part 1 History of religion... spot on! Part 2 The 911 myth! How to start a war! Maybe? Maybe not? Part 3 Federal Reserve Bank! It’s a private corporation! No chit! They print money for the gov't and then charge them interest on it! Then we pay the interest and the banker get rich! So thats how it works! WOW thats a scan! At the international bankers rate we're headed for a one world gov't with tracking chips! Its starting now with the North American Union and the uncontrolled border inflow! Talk of the new currency called the Amero! Maybe this new money will be real flashy with lots of color and glitter! Oh and say goodbye to the constitution!

why would you want to believe in a god that created man then gives him a choice. He picks a choice! 1000+ years later the world is populated with millions of humans. All raising families, having a good time enjoying life, and believing different things! But this god of yours doesn't like what he see's. So he puts a few of them on a boat and creates massive genocide on the rest of humanity by drowning them! The whole world’s population of dead bodies floating everywhere! All the innocent animals who don’t even understand the concept of god all suffering cruel deaths floating everywhere! And this is what you call a loving and just god and the dude you worship? Pretty sad concept to live by if you ask me!

You, the people, have the power! http://www.nationalinitiative.us/index.htm "The United States of America is not, in fact, a democracy. In a democracy, the people are the government. Today, we elect people to run the government for us. The people we elect do not, for the most part, run the country in the interest of the people, they run it in the interest of themselves. We are led to believe that we must put our trust in these people. We, the people, do not have the power to create laws in our interest. This leads to an extreme imbalance of power in the government versus the people. To solve these problems and create a true balance of power, The Democracy Foundation has created a plan named the National Initiative for Democracy." "The National Initiative for Democracy includes both a proposed Democracy Amendment to the United States Constitution, which asserts the People's right and power to make laws using ballot initiatives, and the Democracy Act, a proposed federal statute which establishes legislative procedures and an administrative agency, the Electoral Trust, to create a Legislature of the People, operating nationally and in every state and local government jurisdiction of the United States. We, the People will have an opportunity to vote on this National Initiative in a national election conducted by the nonprofit corporation Philadelphia II." http://philadelphiaii.org/ "The National Initiative has been developed and refined over the past decade by former Senator Mike Gravel (D. Alaska, 1969 - 1981) and his colleagues. The Democracy Foundation, a nonprofit 501 c 3 organization, is sponsoring the National Initiative. Philadelphia II, a separate nonprofit organization, is conducting an election on National Initiative at votep2.us, giving the people the opportunity to vote for and enact the National Initiative into law. Both are organizations are led by Senator Gravel." Sen. Mike Gravel Discusses National Initiative: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOKTyOvmGOs http://www.gravel2008.us/ Mike Gravel for President! US military using Depleted Uranium in Iraq!
zagijimzoo replied to zagijimzoo's topic in Speakers Corner
Quote: Before going off your rocker over this maybe you should do some research on just what depleted uranium is and how it compares to natural urnanium. Maybe you should do some research yourself! Obliviously you haven’t! We’re not talking about radiation hazards here like dental x-rays. Holding DU next to your skin has very little effect. The radiation is weak! Intake through skin is very low! Because its 70% denser than lead and low radiation that’s why its used in counter weights in aircraft, radiation shields in medical radiation therapy machines and containers for the transport of radioactive materials But that’s not the issue here! We’re talking about the exposure intake by ingestion and inhalation of DU. They are 2 different things! http://www.who.int/ionizing_radiation/pub_meet/ir_pubs/en/index.html Exposure to DU On average, approximately 90 μg of uranium exists in the human body from normal intakes of food, water; and air; approximately 66% is found in the skeleton, 16% in the liver, 8% in the kidneys and 10% in other tissues. The average annual intake of uranium by adults has been estimated to be 460 g from ingestion and 0.59 g from inhalation. Smoking two packets of cigarettes per day may allow inhalation of up to 50 ng of uranium per day. Coal fired power stations have been reported to produce 3ng/m3 of uranium downwind from their discharges. Until recently, the public was not exposed to DU. With the use of DU counterweights in aircraft, there is a possibility that people near an aircraft crash may be exposed to DU dusts if the counterweights were to combust on impact. Significant exposure to people in this situation is unlikely. Exposure of clean-up and emergency workers following aircraft accidents is possible but normal occupational protection measures should prevent any significant exposure occurring. Health effects (for those not so lucky to have normal occupational protection measures) Kidney Retention of uranium in the kidney has been attributed to the creation of complexes with proteins and phospholipids in the proximal tubules; considered to be the main site of kidney damage. Animal studies have shown that long-term exposure to uranium causes nephrotoxic effects that ranged from minimal microscopic lesion in the tubular epithelium (low concentrations) to tubular necrosis (high concentrations). Long-term studies of workers chronically exposed to uranium have reported impairment of the kidneys (proximal tubular epithelium) that depended on the level of exposure. Studies of members of the public chronically exposed to uranium in drinking water have also shown similar signs of impairment of kidney function. There is some evidence that kidney function returns to normal once the source of excessive uranium exposure has been removed. Reproductive and developmental effects Reproductive and developmental effects have been reported in rodent studies ingesting or being exposed via dermal contact to extremely high levels of soluble uranium compounds. No such effects have been reported in humans; however very few studies are available. Further studies are needed to clarify if these effects occur in other animals and whether they are likely to occur in humans. Central nervous system Although uranium released from embedded fragments may accumulate in CNS tissue, and some animal and human studies are suggestive of effects on CNS function, it is difficult to draw firm conclusions from the results available. Better designed and focussed studies are needed to clarify if any effects on CNS occur from exposure to uranium. Treatment of overexposure There are no specific means to decrease the absorption of uranium from the gastrointestinal tract or lungs, or increase its excretion. Thus general methods appropriate to heavy metal poisoning could be applied. Similarly there is no specific treatment for uranium poisoning and the patient should be treated based on the symptoms observed. Dialysis may be helpful in extreme cases of kidney damage. Conclusions Where possible, clean up operations in impact zones should be undertaken where there are substantial numbers of radioactive projectiles remaining and DU contamination levels are deemed unacceptable by qualified experts. If very high concentrations of DU dust or metal fragments are present, then areas may need to be cordoned off until removal can be accomplished. Young children could receive greater exposure to DU when playing in or near DU impact sites. Typical hand-to-mouth activity could lead to high DU ingestion from contaminated soil. Necessary preventative measures should be undertaken. Research needs Studies are needed that will allow better exposure assessments of children. This is particularly important given their unique exposure scenarios such as geophagia and hand-to-mouth activities. There is a lack of information about the possible biological action of uranium or DU in the following areas: - Neurotoxicity: Other heavy metals, e.g. lead and mercury are known neurotoxins, but only a few inconsistent studies have been conducted on uranium. Focused studies are needed to determine if DU is neurotoxic. Reproductive and developmental effects have been reported in single animal studies but no studies have been conducted to determine if they can be confirmed or that they occur in humans. - Haematological effects: Studies are needed to determine if uptake of DU into the bone has consequences for the bone marrow or blood forming cells. - Genotoxicity: Some in vitro studies suggest genotoxic effects occur via the binding of uranium compounds to DNA. This and other mechanisms causing possible genotoxicity should be further investigated. The Radiological Conditions in Areas of Kuwait with Residues of Depleted Uranium EXECUTIVE SUMMARY IAEA investigation: http://www.iaea.org/NewsCenter/News/2003/13-571089.shtml Radiation or (radiological hazard) is not the problem! It’s the Heavy metal toxicity that’s dangerous! Where is that Executive Summary? Recent studies done on the War effects of DU have come out after the Gulf War! Which lasted 6 months. 90% of the DU impacted soft ground! Now we’re in a war that has lasted over 4years and is over hard ground! Depleted Uranium Hazard Awareness - US Army Training Video http://youtube.com/watch?v=U93PBZIyqBs So basically every bombed out area, open food market and body of water in Baghdad is covered with DU dust! And with the extensive home computer systems installed by SH in every Iraq household they have access to this information. And the cleanup of every other bombed out city in Iraq will be undertaken by the highly budgeted Iraq EPA. And then all 221,502 of them can apply for permanently disabled status! That’s the number of how many US Gulf War Vets where awarded! Population of Baghdad 2.7 million! Quote: Hell, you have most likely been exposed to it more than any Iraqi civilian You can’t be serious! What are you living in Disneyland? But thanks for reminding me to pick up some Depleted Uranium enriched pepper to sprinkle on my salad tonight! Quote: All I was pointing out is that this is not something new and killing people by the millions This is new! We just started using it on a large scale for the first time in the Gulf War! And not killing anybody? Tell that to the 221,502 US Gulf War vets awarded permanently disabled status! Tell that to all the future Iraq children playing in it right now! Would like to hear your response in 2010 when those findings hit the fan! Quote: This is not some big secret the government has been keeping from people Tell that to that to the 572,000 US Gulf War soldiers that went into that region with defective equipment, inaccurate training, and contamination! Quote: Maybe someday some scientist/physicist will come up with a better alternative ALTERNATIVE? I got one. How about stop the war for profit US war machine! So go to Wal-Mart and fill up your child’s sand box with Depleted Uranium Play Sand and let them play in it all day! Let me know how your children and their future children turn out! I need some guinea pigs for my research project! And we all know children never put their fingers in their mouths or rub their eyes and always wash their hands and food before eating! Because WE know…Depleted Uranium Play Sand is 100% completely safe! Sucks to be them! Ra for us! -

Well it looks like NORAD wasn't that slow after all with Flight 93. Appears to have been shot down! The Secondary Debris Field: http://www.flight93crash.com/flight93_secondary_debris_field.html#2nd The official story of Flight 93 is that the heroic passengers brought down the plane to spare the country the tragedy of a fourth attack, a tremendous sacrifice to save others. However, while it seems true that the passengers were revolting against their hijackers, the evidence shows that Flight 93 was actually shot down. Debris from the plane was spread out over 8 miles, which suggests major trauma to the plane while it was still in the air. Some media coverage of this crash in the first couple days strongly suggested a shoot-down, most of this is archived at the website www.flight93crash.com http://www.oilempire.us/flight93.html http://www.flight93crash.com/

Yup you guys got some good points there! I really liked the "Shark Air just dropped jumpers over Perris" : ) Yeah i guess there really isn't anyway for NORAD to handle such a task! So basically we're pretty much just sitting ducks! Well that sucks! I really thought we had better protection but your right its just to big of a mess up there! I had to run the whole conspiracy theory bit just to understand the other point of view! The two tower demo theory i'm starting to give up on but there's still something that bugs me about WTC 7.

party like its 5000002007! (SPACE.com) -- The sun is midway through its stable hydrogen burning phase known as the main sequence. But when the sun enters the red giant phase in around 5 billion years things are going to get a lot rougher in the Earth-moon system. During the red giant phase the Sun will swell until its distended atmosphere reaches out to envelop the Earth and moon, which will both begin to be affected by gas drag -- the space through which they orbit will contain more molecules. The moon is now moving away from Earth and by then will be in an orbit that's about 40 percent larger than today. It will be the first to warp under the Sun's influence. "The moon's actual path is a wiggly line around the sun, with it moving faster when it is slightly farther out (at full moon) and more slowly when it is slightly closer (at new moon)," said Lee Anne Willson of Iowa State University. "So the gas drag is more effective at the farther part of the orbit and this will put the moon into an orbit where the new moon is closer to Earth than the full moon." Willson's idea about the moon's demise, explained recently to SPACE.com, is an unpublished byproduct of her research into Earth's fate in the face of an expanding sun. Moving away Today, the moon is on average 239,000 miles (385,000 kilometers) away and has reached this point after a long and dramatic journey. Earth's moon was born around 4.5 billion years ago in a titanic collision between our planet and a Mars-sized sibling, according to the leading theory. The enormous impact threw debris into orbit around the young Earth and from this maelstrom the Moon coalesced. For the last few billion years the moon's gravity has been raising tides in Earth's oceans which the fast spinning Earth attempts to drag ahead of the sluggishly orbiting moon. The result is that the moon is being pushed away from Earth by 1.6 inches (4 centimeters) per year and our planet's rotation is slowing. If left unabated, the moon would continue in its retreat until it would take about 47 days to orbit the Earth. Both Earth and moon would then keep the same faces permanently turned toward one another as Earth's spin would also have slowed to one rotation every 47 days. Solar influence The Sun's mutation into a red giant provides a huge stumbling block to the moon's getaway and is likely to ensure the moon ends its days the way it began; as a ring of Earth-girdling debris. "The density and temperature both increase rapidly near the apparent surface (photosphere) of the future giant sun," Willson explained. As the Earth and moon near this blistering hot region, the drag caused by the sun's extended atmosphere will cause the moon's orbit to decay. The moon will swing ever closer to Earth until it reaches a point 11,470 miles (18,470 kilometers) above our planet, a point termed the Roche limit. "Reaching the Roche limit means that the gravity holding it [the moon] together is weaker than the tidal forces acting to pull it apart," Willson said. The moon will be torn to pieces and every crater, mountain, valley, footprint and flag will be scattered to form a spectacular 23,000-mile-diameter (37,000-kilometer) Saturn-like ring of debris above Earth's equator. The new rings will be short-lived. Theory dictates they'll eventually rain down onto Earth's surface. "Particles of different masses will have different survival times; the smaller particles will be removed first, and the biggest ones last. Most of the ring particles would be gone by the time the Earth reaches the stellar photosphere," Willson said. If the sun's photosphere reaches Earth, our planet too will experience drag and spiral into the Sun to be incinerated. Possible out There are possible natural alternatives, however. If the sun as a red giant sloughs off enough material before Earth evaporates, our planet will be revealed from its stellar cocoon in a moon-less guise. Earth, robbed of its companion, would undertake a lonely vigil as the sun turns eventually into a stellar corpse called a white dwarf, fading to black over the ensuing trillions of years. Alternatively, if the swelling sun loses 20 percent of its mass prior to it reaching our vicinity, both Earth and moon could be spared incineration and remain together facing each other for eternity. The actual outcome remains a theoretical uncertainty because no red giant star has been observed during this crucial phase.
