Hi Everyone, I recently entered my husband Sonic (aka Kamuran Bayrasli) of the Ranch PRO shop in a dance contest on the morning talk show; Live with Regis & Kelly. And he is now a semi-finalist. So now I'm turning to the skydiving community to help him become a finalist so he can represent skydiving on live TV on Monday Oct 6th. Here is how you can help; go to www.liveregisandkelly.com, (i dont know how to make a clicky thing, sorry...)you will need to register to vote, it should only take a minute to do so, once you have registered proceed to the cash dance voting and vote for Kamuran Bayrasli (aka Sonic), you will be required to vote for 5 people total, I suggest Kamuran and 4 ladies (yes, I want him to win and some of the men are pretty wild dancers) and that's all ya have to do. If he gets enough votes to be a finalist the rest is up to him to win this thing!!! The voting ends tonight at 11:59pm and only one vote per email address. FYI: if he wins there will be a large free party at the Ranch the following weekend to say thanks to all that helped!!!! Thanks in advance! Donna Bayrasli

PD Challenge Swoop Comp – Cross Keys Invasion
MRSLLAMA replied to chayes12's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Hey Chris, Thanks for keeping everyone updated. We are seriously considering going. While we ponder if you could answer just a few questions it might help build my case on why we should go Will PRO competitors have any practice jumps at the beach ? If yes, what will be the cost of practice jumps? and when ? Where will PRO competitors be taking off from ? (Sonic wanted to know that one) How far is the beach from the DZ, assuming that is where you will be taking off from. Thanks ! & I hope to see you in January ! FYI: There a a whole bunch of peeps from THe Ranch thinking about going to the event ! Donna -
Ranch Pond Swoop Meet Re-scheduled!!!!
MRSLLAMA replied to johnny1488's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Well said Johnny1488, However I need to make sure everyone knows what else happened...... Since the weather report was not looking any better for Monday (the scheduled weather day) the meet was technically called early. So the Organizer & Sponsor (Billy Richards c/o The Ranch) returned the balance of the registration money to all the competitors (reg was $100 inc jumps) competitors got back $70 since they only made 3 jumps. Then Billy/The Ranch reimbursed 5 competitors travel money !!!!! Yes, Billy/The Ranch gave out approximately $1000 to the competitors that traveled from Florida, Georgia & Colorado !!!!!! I've personally been to many many swoop competitions but I have never ever seen money given out to people just because they traveled for a meet that got cut short due to weather !!!! WHO DOES THAT ???? BILLY/THE RANCH DOES !!!!!! Now if your planning to come in September 23 & 24th please don't think if it gets washed out that you will get money.....but hey all this shows is that ya never know what's going to happen at the Ranch so you might not want to miss it !!!!! And lets not forget that the PSM is now known as: The Bill Ottley Pond sWHOop Nationals at The Ranch! See you at the Pond, Donna PS: Sonic came in 2nd in the In Lane !!!! GO LLAMA !! -

Chuck, first off: I'm glad you made it, it was great to see you. 2nd, I rarely get involved in type with people on these forums However I feel it is necessary now to state one simple fact: SUNDAY WAS THE WEATHER DAY, it's that simple ! Sure flying 11 cessna loads to complete a round sucks, but it sure is better then not flying anything. As already stated by other Ranch Hands Billy did bust out the Chopper and the meet on Sunday was completed by 5PM. That is the bottom line. The awards Ceremony kicked off around 7:30 - 8 ish, all with in a reasonable amount of time. Weather days are included in meet schedules to be used as needed. And as it turned out we needed it. Saturdays weather had nothing to do with aircraft capacity. FYI: Fruitcake was always leaving Saturday night, and he knew going into this if we had bad weather on Sat he would still be leaving for a paid demo. If we had 4 otters available Fruitcake would of still left. Looking forward to seeing you again soon, Donna Head Jackass
