    I was going to say 1-1 1/2 hours but I couldn't make it look quite right... plus I don't think I've ever done that drive w/o traffic

    Yeah, I've looked at it before. I've also done the drive from NYC to Islip many times... just so you know its about 1 1/2 hours without traffic My mom lives in Long Island now, so let me know if you have any quesitons.

    Definitely depends on the friends... I recently brought a friend and her husband to the DZ. He did a tandem and then we stuck around to hang out. A big group of us went to dinner and the whuffo friends had a good time and got along with everyone. So it certainly can work
