  1. Skydive Arizona’s ad in January’s issue of Parachutist Magazine posted the wrong dates for the two upcoming $ meets. There are two meets in February, a freefly scrambles and a 4 way RW meet. The dates were flip flopped in the ad. The correct dates are as follows: 4-way RW meet February 17-18 Freefly 2-wat scrambles February 23-25 I am so sorry about the confusion. If anyone knows of people coming to the event, that may not visit DZ.com, can you help me spread the word!!! Thanks guys.
  2. Hello Brad, We will be going another camp. Propably in Febuary. We will decied on the dates soon. We did about 7 12-16 way attempts on Sunday. We did not complete anything that big. However the levels and slot flying was pretty impressive. It was a good time. Amy
  3. Hello Samantha, Melissa and I are in the process of setting up dates for skills camps geared for the women’s world record attempt. The first one is October 28 and 29 at Skydive Lake Ellsinore (right before the Chicks Rock Boogie.) We will keep everyone posted on other camps as they develop. The camp that Sara posted info about will be the same exact structure and it will be a great tool for training for the record. Steve Curtis has always been a big part of the women’s records. During the record attempts he jumps, organizes and coaches the girls that are not on the record attempt jump. He prepares them for the next attempt as the record grows bigger and or people get rotated in and out of the attempts. Curtis, Sara and I will be organizing several camps throughout the year and we will keep everyone posted. Amy
  4. Hello Trent, I love ya and I miss ya, but I was thinking that your motto should be "almost as good as the girls" Amy
  5. During AZTC night you just pay for the time at the hour rate and there will be AZTC members there to help you out. Their assistance is free during this hour. skyventureaz.com Amy
  6. oh right upload----sorry---they were to big the first time around. Enjoy

  8. Is is day three of the record attempts and this experience has been completely unbelievable. For me it is totally surreal to be in this beautiful land with all my friends attempting the next world record. Everyone is having a great time. We have done four record attempts so far. The first three were challenging because everyone seemed to be flying a little two excitetd. The last jump was great. Everyone relaxed and we flew beautifully. It is the morning of the third day and I know we are going to be successful soon. The hospitality here is wonderful. Good food, friendly hosts, beautiful hotel, C130 air craft, just an incredible event.
  9. Please use this link to communicate with each other who needs a ride, who can offer a ride or who wants to share a hotel or rental car during the Women’s Vertical World Record at Skydive Chicago June 20-26.
  10. This is a reminder about the last Eloy skills camp leading up to the Women’s Vertical World Record and to tell everyone about the TV show that will be filming a show during the weekend of the camp. First about the camp: The dates are May 14 and 15. Go to Skydiveaz.com for all the registration info or e-mail me. Keep in mind that there is a pre-registration discount. There are a few ladies already registered. It is looking like it will be another successful weekend with all girls! About this TV Show: "Discovery Jones Expeditions”, a national action adventure television series for kids and teens will be visiting Skydive Arizona during the weekend of the camp. They would like to cover our skills camp and the final outcome of the record. Below is a portion of what the producer has written to me: [[[[Our TV show features activities such as skydiving, rock climbing, scuba diving, hang gliding, etc..... and is geared towards young kids and teens. The program can be seen Monday through Friday all around the USA and the world.... in over 50 million households daily in the USA and millions more worldwide. This TV series focuses on teaching kids/teens about all kinds of outdoor activities, sports and adventures. During each episode we also teach the viewers a very basic faith based approach to everyday issues kids face. We would like to build an episode of our TV show around the activities at Skydive Arizona on the weekend of May 13th, 14th & 15th. The women's vertical camp would be a great opportunity for our young female viewers to be inspired to go for their goals.... as these women are doing in a sport such as skydiving.]]]] I am very excited about this opportunity. I can only imagine how our endeavor will affect all the young ladies that will be tuned in. This kind of thing is one of my favorite outcomes of my skydiving career. The producer would like to interview any ladies that would not mind being part of this. If it is not your thing, no worries they will not bother anyone who is not interested. I look forward to seeing everyone soon. I wish you all well. Blue skies and a nice warm spring! Amy Chmelecki
  11. Due to circumstances beyond my control the Rob Harris Boogie has been canceled. I am so sorry to anyone who was planning on participating. Please, if you have any questions e-mail me at amychmelecki@hotmail.com

  13. Hello Ladies, So far there is one lady registered, but during every other camp everyone registered at the last minute. During the January camp there where 14 women there. I hope to see some new faces as well as some old friends! Amy
  14. In each of five rounds you are randomly matched with a different partner of similar flying ability. Your partner in each round will be competing against you on other teams during the other rounds. A sequence of compulsory moves are drawn from the dive pool. Each round will have a different draw. You and your partner for that round gain one point each time you correctly perform a move in the order of the draw. A video pool camera flyer records the dives. Your score for each round is added up. The person with the highest score wins. If you would like to check out all the rules go to skydiveaz.com click on experienced skydiver then click on special events. The event is a great time.
  15. Hello and thank you to everyone involved in the third annual freefly money meet at Skydive Arizona. Thank you to everyone who remained patient and kind while dealing with the bad weather and unfortunate circumstances surrounding the competition. To all the local skydivers who knew and loved Dr. Kenny, thank you so much for maintaining focus throughout the event. I know how hard it was, but every one kept a smile on their face and helped where ever I needed it. Your help was so important to me and the event would not have been a success with out you. To all the visitors, thank you very very much for understanding and accepting the early end to the competition. I recognize that many of you traveled a long way and I am so sorry we had to end things early. You guys were so cool for not getting upset or mad----thank you. During the awards ceremony I made some mistakes. I was very rushed and not focused. I am sorry. Below are the final standings. This event has doubled from 2003. I have a feeling it will continue to grow. I hope to see you all again next year. If anyone has any comments, criticism or suggestions on how to make the event better or different, I am all ears and would love to hear what you have to say. Please feel free to e-mail me. amychmelecki@hotmail.com Once again, thanks you to all of you!
