How about the universal pilots utterance of "Oh Shit!"
-
Is the plane in the pinocchio jpeg a Kfir? Looks like one but I don't know the variant with the big nose
-
How about a Westland Wyvern.
-
hey Robin go check your messages bar. It should be red and have a message from me. Can't let all the skydivers know the secrets of the secret society.

I'm batman.

I'm gonna die! I'm gonna die! Oh... no I'm not.

Most birds fly low. But i've flown loads up and passed birds at 8,000 feet and in fairly cloudy conditions. Oh yeah, around here the birds (buzzards, vultures and hawks) can regularly be seen soaring around on thermals at four and five grand. Just ask your pilot they can tell you what they see in flight. Not trying to be alarmist just want to relay the view from up front. -
I too will say thanks. Now everyone repeat these words. All it takes for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing.

Sounds like you about got it covered. Just need a Holy Hand Grenade and a shrubbery.

Vols football is bigtime in Knoxville. They have a 100,000 seat stadium or something huge like that. By the way the former UT school president who was recently asked to resign by the Governor spent 150,000 dollars on a tailgate party and only spent 100,000 dollars on the Christmas party. Oh yeah he also paid 5,000 for a grill for his house.

Wait a minute I believe you recently made you'r first jump from the Beech. Case of beer -
Best advice I can give you is to check out the local DZ's and see what they are looking for. Are you familiar with WWW.DiverDriver.com it's a great site for those of us who fly the loads. Don't forget to check the classifieds right here. If that does'nt work you can always resort to bribery and blackmail. He He. Good luck with the search and enjoy Hawaii.

The Hurricane Hunters out of Tampa, Florida. They have a C-130, it's got a tailgate, sounds like a doable idea to me. Just got to get the crew to go along with it. They are dropping instrumentation out to measure the storm so just volunteer to take some live readings. Just remember to say "hey ya'll watch this" before you step out.

Enough to make my wife mad. Hey yardhippie where can I see a large photo of that Cessna eating mud on your profile?
-
How about doing a hop and pop with flour. Most people who come out to watch tandems at the DZ can't spot a plane at 10 grand, plus you should save some $ for jumping at lower altitude. That helps pay for the flour.

I dont feel like working either. As a matter of fact i've been studying procedures for our new jump plane most of the week. Sorry it's not a twin turbine but it is a twin Beech 18 and i'm just a lowly DZ pilot who gets to fly it.FUN FUN FUN!!See you all at the DZ's on the weekend.

SRV played with heavy gauge strings and big frets and played the guitar like it was easy. He was just an amazing guitarist. I was lucky enough to see him on tour with Jeff Beck. Damn that was good.

Congrats and I remember that jump. There's always fun to be had on the blue and white Cessna. Just wait till you start jumping from the twin engined Beech. YAHOO!!! See ya at the D.Z. I'll be the one saying "Get out of my plane" -
How did you get started w/ skydiving?
Tailwheel replied to skydivingdutch's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Peer Pressure! I flew for a DZ near Fort Campbell for awhile and when you're constantly in the company of SFers, Rakkasans and Screaming Eagles it kind of grows on you. Thats why I started to do a few. -
First of all thanks for recognizing us pilots. Not all of us use GPS to get where were going( not a slam to those who do ) but just like my jumpers I take pride in my skills and always work to make them better. Of course I could tell you the secret of how it's done but then we would be forced to kill you. Got to protect those trade secrets you know.
-
I would appreciate doing that also. I'm a jump pilot too and don't want to look like i'm a wannabe jumper pulling the wool over everyone's eye's.

If you have ever rode the plane down...

When the new refrigerator gets hooked up i'll be glad to buy beer. But is that for the first landing with jumpers, or for the "pleasant experience" with the FAA. -

Tailwheel replied to gatorbait's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Ah the pilots speak. I landed with my first load of jumpers two weeks ago. Had to X country to a demo and meet the FAA first for an inspection with my jumpers for an airshow. After two years of flying them up some got to see how well I land. He He! -
Dont worry about you'r climbout it was fine. The odds are if you jumped it there I was the one who flew it and all the exits i've seen were good ones.See you on the next load and congrats.

B-17 Jumps @ Pepperell - Sept 22-23
Tailwheel replied to FlyingElf2002's topic in Events & Places to Jump
400$ per jumper is a fair price for the B-17. Recently the CAF was charging 350$ to go for a ride in their B-24 and it was a cargo version that could hold more people. Overall the B-17 is a little smaller, so less people will fit and the Collins Foundation has taken care to restore their planes excellently. Enjoy the jump.
