I used to have one and it always provided medium brisk openings... What are you doing with the nose? GraficO GraficO "A Mind is a terrible thing to taste."

from the tidbit I got she was going to be MAKING them at the convention... sewing machines and sewers in a trailer near or with Icarus Canopies... sounds like it could be tough... but worth it if you get your order in early. I guess we'll see GraficO PS... I have to have a little work done on my jumpsuit... looks like I may have to pay her a visit... great suit but I need to have the jacket let out a tiny bit GraficO "A Mind is a terrible thing to taste."

HEE HEE... I guess every skydiver is a surrogate Aunt or Uncle now! Congrats Eric & Jen... you're going to be fine parents! Welcome to this side of the uterus Abby! GraficO GraficO "A Mind is a terrible thing to taste."

A number of years ago I bought a new Spectre 150 off the shelf at Square 1... I got it hoked up and made about 4 jumps on it and it always turned left. Not radical but enough to notice because you had to counter it with a toggle. Rusty Vest was on the DZ and I told him about the problem and he said it was probably a harness turn or my legstraps weren't tight enough. SO I told him to go jump it... he did and as son as he got down he said... "yup... it's got a turn... send it in." So I did and I got it back in about a week and a half... no problems after that. PD is really good about getting canopies back in a pretty good timeframe I think... Sooner you ship it off... the sooner you'll get it back GraficO GraficO "A Mind is a terrible thing to taste."

Nate Gilbert Nationwide Sunset Tracking Dive Saturday
GraficO replied to chutingstar's topic in Events & Places to Jump
We here in New Mexico did a pre-sunset traking dive in memory... CJ, Ron, Julie and myself... was quite nice and the thought of a huge flock around the country/world was kinda neat... Blue Skies Brother... GraficO GraficO "A Mind is a terrible thing to taste." -
"The Parachute and its Pilot" Book
GraficO replied to BrianSGermain's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
I got my 3rd Edition a couple days ago... Brian... you have completely outdone yourself... this is the perfect companion to your first book. Actually... I shouldn't have to even type this note... nothing you do is less than wonderful! Thank you for your continued support of our sport. GraficO GraficO "A Mind is a terrible thing to taste." -
yes... get the big leg pads. I'm a big guy too (6', 215XW) and it's really a comfort having the larger leg pads. As for the stainless hardware and being on the L or R coast... I'd say it's a big plus to get em. I've seen rigs that don't have em and I would tend to believe that it makes the rig in high moisture areas last longer... despite the coating that is usually on the non-stainless stuff... but I could be wrong. Besides I think stainless makes any rig look cleaner... why not make your infinity as sharp looking as it can be especially when you're having it made custom? come on down... we're expecting you GraficO GraficO "A Mind is a terrible thing to taste."

well...if you do get one... watch for the two halves twisting apart and where the brass nuts on the back pressing into the plastic... mine were already cracked as soon as I opened the package... maybe they have since used a different type of plastic... I wasn't impressed. I'd buy a regular altimeter from them again... but not a Neptune. Pro-Track... Zero Problems. GraficO GraficO "A Mind is a terrible thing to taste."

a lot of similarities in fit between the Pimpdaddy and the Guner... should do you well!
-
a friend here has an extremely large head and he got a BH Guner XL and it fit great. His head is wide AND long from chin to the back of his head... If you have a chance to try on different models and manufacturers ... prolly ought to try this one though. The Ion seems less flexible and much shorter from stem to stern... try one though... it might fit you perfectly. Hope this helps you GraficO GraficO "A Mind is a terrible thing to taste."

Shark... don't even get me started on that "other" rig mfg. but I do agree with ya... would have been sweet in an Infinity!

My Infinity is so happy

one of the most amazing tattos I've seen (suprising too) was the first day I walked on the DZ at Mile-Hi Skydiving in Longmont, CO. There was a guy packing who had tattooed a HUGE Skydive Elsinore logo on his back! Needless to say I was taken back as I designed the logo in the first place and out of all the curious places to put one of my logos... this took the cake... If anyone knows how to find this guy... I'd love to have a photo! GraficO GraficO "A Mind is a terrible thing to taste."

for all of you East coast jumpers... visithttp://www.witchdoc.com the owner is a skydiver, rigger and one of my packers for Martini SHots at the WFFC. Talk to Ron and Lisa... he'll ink ya right! GraficO GraficO "A Mind is a terrible thing to taste."

again... it's a generous approximation aimed at being conservative.... True it may not be 2 full canopy sizes... but hihg alt and density alt do factor largely. GraficO GraficO "A Mind is a terrible thing to taste."
-
I jump at 5000' MSL here... and general consensus is that you essentially drop a canopy size approximately in comparison to sea level at 5000' MSL... SO... if I am jumping a 136 at 5000' MSL... it's more like jumping a 150 at sea level. Then taking in consideration density altitude when it's really hot (like it is here in the high desert during the summer) you probably lose another canopy size just for that. So for sake of argument... I am jumping the equivalent of a 109+/- at 5000' during the summer and it's hot.... then there is the concept of wingloading... which just adds to the fun GraficO GraficO "A Mind is a terrible thing to taste."
