  1. God gave Israel a solution with the concept of Jubilee. There are two occurrences, one every 7 years and another every 50 years.
  2. I agree. A Christian should dole out his money by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I know a lot simply follow their church rule and not have any other consideration. However, I am Pentecostal and I listen to the Holy Spirit. I still tithe 10% but I also give extra as I am led. As a result, I never lack.
  3. Agree Did you know that there are a lot of rich Christians that give away tremendous amounts of money to various services? We are a generous people.
  4. I don't believe in income equality. It takes away or at least diminishes the desire to try to do better and earn more. It is basically against the American spirit. If you don't have enough your answer lies within you. As for me, my father owns all the gold and all the silver and the cattle of a thousand hills. He supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Here are a few Scriptures from the Amplified Bible regarding the concept of being born again. John 3:3 Jesus answered him, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless a person is born again [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified], he cannot [ever] see and experience the kingdom of God.” John 3:7 Do not be surprised that I have told you, ‘You must be born again [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified].’ 1 Peter 1:3 Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant and boundless mercy has caused us to be born again [that is, to be reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose] to an ever-living hope and confident assurance through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, Of course, none of this has any importance unless you want to change your present life or you desire eternal life as opposed to eternal death. I believe that creation from God never stops. That is what confuses the evolutionists. Anyway, when you accept God's plan for your life He gives you a constant supply of life, or creation, forever.

It was a serious response to a serious question. I thanked DJL because I was thankful. In your paradigm, even the slightest comment must be attacked. Dr Hawkins addresses that behavior in his book Power vs Force.

I'm curious, did you ever experience being born-again? Or, did you simply attend church and participate in church activities?
  8. It is extremely difficult for them to accept and embrace new material. Dr David R Hawkins discusses and explains this deficiency as merely understanding levels of consciousness. I have read two of his books, Power vs Force and Transcending Levels of Consciousness. As a counselor I found them to be validating, fascinating, and edifying. "Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do." ~Jesus

We call it being in the bond of fellowship and love.

As stated before, God respects your dignity and freedom to choose. So do I. When your physical body dies you will be granted your heart's desire. Over thirty-eight years now and it has not been a ritual nor has it been a waste. Not by a long shot.

The difference is that an acid trip at Burning Man wears off and must be repeated to duplicate the effect. Being born-again does not wear off. That is why I stated that to reject it after it has happened to you requires some seriously evil ritual(s).

It is a supernatural experience and cannot be recreated scientifically. However, the experience can be shared and confirmed by other Christians.

To be born-again is to become a new creature, a new person in Christ Jesus. The phenomenon or epiphany occurs when you confess that you are a sinner and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. This can only occur when you realize, without doubt, that you are lost and eternally condemned. At that moment Jesus gives you the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to guide you through the remainder of your existence as a mortal. That is when you become born-again. It is a wonderfully exciting experience. In my case, He showed me each of my sinful actions and forgave each one. I literally experienced the wiping clean of my slate.

You also are missing the point. Rejection of Christ after being born-again is not the same as rejecting the idea of being born-again.

My post was not about indoctrination. It was about the experience of accepting Christ and being born-again.

A much better association would have been the Clintons as they did with Haitian children a few years back. Supposedly, in cahoots with J. Epstein.

My mistake, as I thought about it, billvon does not intervene much on those types of remarks. I was thinking about the time I referenced an article on the Alexander Stephens website which made a statement about the good care he gave his Negro slaves and how they were devoted to him. It was gowlerk and Skydekker who got upset, not billvon.

I have only heard it mentioned once by Dr Hank Lundstrum, Tampa, FL in the mid-1980s. Based on what I know now I believe the ritual would involve human sacrifice with a very high probability of it being an innocent child.

What it means is that God respects your dignity and your freedom to choose. When you pass from your earthly existence you will be granted your heart's desire. It will be a blissful adventure or a horrible, terrifying choice. What is your heart's desire?

Being born-again is not an indoctrination. It is an experience, one you will never forget or doubt. I was totally alone, in the middle of the night, camped at Mono Lake in the Sierra Nevada Mountains on 16 Mar 81 when I experienced being born-again.

You cannot escape from being "born-again." You either are or you are not. There are believers, non-believers, make believers. To reject being born-again means you actually swear allegiance to Satan. That is a pretty tough ritual for most folks.
