IMO, the original sin was not eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. That act was only the catalyst. The original sin is that Adam and Eve became self conscious. It is imperative for you to win the argument and/or be the final judge. I am not big on religion. I espouse a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Such a relationship is achieved when you are spiritually reborn and receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. In Sunday school a subject came up regarding Maslow's Hierarchy of Need Satisfaction. It occurred to me that anyone that considers themselves "self actualized" would never consider salvation.
