Tough to say. A one off software glitch out of how many million votes? That's one thing... A deliberate piece of programming? That's something else. the only way to know for sure is to dissect that and a bunch of other machines.

I lived in Edinburgh for a few years growing up. Sunrise wasn't until well after 8am in the depths of it. And then you had to go out and de-ice the car before you could go anywhere. I was IN school before it was light. One of the large reasons I accepted a move to San Diego was because I was tired of not seeing daylight for months on end. Get up in the dark, go to work and if you're in an interior office you don't get a window, then drive home in the dark. And the rain. It's a wonder anyone is still sane there.

On here I'm considered a liberal. On science forums I'm considered a conservative due to my opinions on minimum wage, nuclear power, governmental power vs private power, use of market incentives vs fiat etc. WHAT WITCHCRAFT IS THIS???? More on topic, the lack of oversight on all these measures concerns me greatly. I'm not voting for more money if I can't be sure of how it's getting spent. The water issue is a massive one in Southern California. Water rates should be 5 times what they are - literally. And this also feeds into the new housing elements. There isn't the infrastructure to build all of the new affordable housing that these measures are talking about. No on 1 Yes on 2 Yes on 3 - ideally it would be per user as you suggest, but piss of enough taxpayers and it'll shift that way in future. The infrastructure HAS to be upgraded massively. We live in a desert for fucks sake. No on 4 No on 5 Absolutely no on 6. Absolutely Yes on 7. Fuck daylight savings. No on 8 Yes on 10 No on 11 No on 12 The issues are the easier things for me on the ballot. I've no idea about the positions / people and all the attack adverts make ALL of them seem like complete arseholes.

Thanks Bill. Good info to have to hand. I've misplaced my pamphlet that goes over these.

What's the point in spending tens of thousands of dollars on guns if you don't use 'em before you die? Ron - the dems are never going to riot, no matter how much you want it to happen. They MIGHT protest, march etc, but their right to do that is protected by the 1st amendment. What MIGHT happen is some right wing nutcase with a load of guns and a hard on for using them sees that as a 'riot' and then kills a bunch more innocent people. That's entirely possible.

Can't you take it back to the store for a refund? Nah. It was a custom piece.

And if they don't, will you blame Trump? No. He’ll blame illegal immigrants voting in their millions, hacked voting machines, DNC interference with republican voters, a shadow conspiracy to hide ‘true’ results or Obama. and DNC shadow operations with 'fake' terror bombs and a false flag murder at the synagogue with planted actors.

I want to see Red across America on 7 Nov. Praying again! https://www.bizpacreview.com/2018/10/31/american-exceptionalism-were-not-just-another-country-688950 America isn't exceptional. It's pretty good, but it has its flaws, and some of them are huge. To ignore those is the real 'destructive malignancy' propagated by cowards like Mr. Smith who would prefer to live in a fascist fantasy rather than deal with the reality of the world around them.

He's been doing it his entire life; why change now? He is nothing more than a 5-yr old with a podium. Jerry Baumchen There was a Twilight Zone episode where a boy about 8 or 9 had the power to do some thing terrible to people. Make them disappear or something. Every one was very afraid of him because everything had to be exactly the way he wanted it. If anyone made the slightest mistake he would make them pay. Fear was in every eye of every one. I'm reading a book like that at the moment. For some reason a few people on earth manifest super-hero powers, but unlike the Marvel stuff they're absolute jerks with it and start destroying humanity, just because they can. America passes the Capitulation Act which classifies them as a force of nature and beyond the law.

Sounds good to me. I do not hold stock in Government Motors. Ahh. So you're all about preserving American heartland jobs if it benefits YOU PERSONALLY somehow. If you don't hold stocks in the companies then who gives a shit about the employment of the citizens there, right? Glad we got that straightened out.

Trump does. He gets to come off as the strong-man to his gun-toting base supporters like you right before a critical election. So what you're saying is that he's behind all this? Interesting.

Maybe the mods split it from that thread? Although it seems pertinent to the incident. -

What are you smoking? There are precisely 0 posts on the front page of this forum about checking in after jumping. None. Zilch. Nada. Even if there were, the fact that you simply haven't traveled enough to encounter the need wouldn't negate the need to talk about it anyway. -
That’s the messed up thing, the politicians all know it’s nonsense that’ll come to nothing but it’ll work. He’ll have encouraged a few more people to vote by deliberately lying about something he has no intention of doing. How do you hold the president of the USA accountable for consistently lying? If he were a child his parents would ground him, or spank him...

You were told to follow the person before you in the briefing despite the DZ rule was follow the first down? Somehow I doubt that.

Yeah, I found a flange with a wider diameter which let me get bolts to the subfloor. Worse news is that the glass panel I bought doesn’t fit my tile job. I did it in the wrong order... should have bought the glass to fit the tiles, not trt to do it the other way round. DOH! Anyone have any use for an 80x53” piece of 1/2” low-iron tempered glass? Going cheap!

Well that post has come a few hours too late! I used silicone sealant rather than a traditional caulk. Should be easy enough to cut through and I deliberately left a gap at the back just in case there is ever a leak I'll spot it there.
-
It has a plastic flange already embedded in it - makes it almost self-centering to the sewer drain.

What's the problem? Having done my share of toilet settings, I consider them fairly easy. I also know that any given one can be a real PITA. Jerry Baumchen PS) Get this type of wax ring: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Wax-Ring-for-Toilet-Bowl-D0133-40/202536721 The subfloor wasn't put tight enough to the drain so there's a void where the concrete screws for the flange need to go. I'm hoping I don't need to pull up tile to get it fixed.

No problem, #1 son lives on it now. It is well guarded. No shit? You banished your kid to watch a piece of dirt in back bum fuck Georgia against the day? Bet you $5 there's some sort of prepped bunker there.

Apart from the obvious issue of granting the President the power to unilaterally change the Constitution by executive order (leaving essentially no daylight between "President" and "Dear Ruler"), there is also the issue of what system will replace the 14th amendment. What will suffice to qualify someone as a US citizen, if not the fact that they were born here? Both mommy and daddy have to prove they are citizens? If birthright citizenship is disqualified, how would they prove their citizenship? How many generations back would someone have to be able to document their US citizen ancestors? What would happen if mommy is a citizen and daddy is not? Some apparently already think this situation disqualifies Obama from citizenship. How about if daddy has flown the coop, or mommy isn't completely sure who daddy is? Would this constitutional revision be retroactive? Would children of legal immigrants be stripped of their citizenship? One thing is for certain: don't expect thought-out answers from the divider-in-chief. Don Yeah, it's not simple, and I haven't thought about the exact mechanics in a huge amount of detail but I do think that automatic citizenship to anyone born here regardless of status isn't the solution either. You're right though - either way Trump is simply saying whatever he can to get some votes without any real thought. I got an email from both him AND Pence this morning urging me to go out and vote to counter all of the lying liberal media. Excerpt from Trump's mail-shot: and Mr. Vice President:
-
Regardless of the cynical timing I think I actually agree that the 14th needs a change. But it needs to be done properly - not by EO just to get votes.
-
Yeah. I'm not a fan of plumbing either. Got the shower heads and vanity worked out (thanks for the advice! :D) but I'm going to need to find a professional for the toilet. That bit isn't going as smoothly as I'd like and I REALLY don't want that to go wrong. Ewww .

And there you have it. I asked openly a while ago if the cost of gun ownership is continued events like these do you consider it worth the trade off? At least RiggerRob was honest enough to answer that he did. Every other pro 2nd poster was conspicuously quiet. They think it’s worth other people dying for their right to have fun, but they’ll never admit it. Gun-toting cowards... the irony is palpable.
