Let me ask you a question - why do you have such a hard-on for special operations? A bit of 'I wish I'd done that' syndrome, maybe? Personally I'd ask a mathematician if I was looking for someone to break a code. Regarding the SHTF nonsense: You said that in 2013. 2016... and those are just 2 examples that I replied to. There are dozens more where you make predictions about this SHTF thing and are continually wrong about them. There IS a common factor in your predictions though - you always make predictions that are going happen in the near future. Not 100 or 200 years from now. Isn't that odd? That the great revolt that you have prepared for just HAPPENS to occur in your lifetime? Statistically the chances of that have to be pretty slim... I think it's much more likely that you're making predictions of something you want to see happening in the near future because you're looking for some sort of meaning to your life - something that justifies all the hoarding of guns and ammo, the hiding in a mountain community. Stop gleefully worrying about the collapse of society and try to enjoy the rest of your life.
  2. Measles parties were one thing, but chicken pox was always kept at home when I grew up. Chicken pox fucking HURTS and has life long implications. Measles is just a bit itchy.

You'd think a counselor would understand the Barnum effect. Hell, the makers of fortune cookies understand it well enough. 'You see things other miss!" YES! I'M DECODING THE TRUTH!!!

I’ll feel better when you stop telling everyone that you have secret access to coded messages and are a watchman on the wall. If someone had come to you for counseling and said the same thing your notes would probably indicate delusion...
  6. Connect through a vpn. Pick a server your country of choice and you’ll get better results.

Oh stop it. You sound like a twelve year old. You're too old to be self-aggrandizing yourself like that. You're not a 'watchman on the wall'. You're a fella who is so incapable with dealing with a changing society that you choose to hide in the hills from it while pretending that you're a seed of a new future. You're not. You're not seeing some magical apocalypse coming. You're not privy to secret coded information. You're not some guard of humanity. You're an old guy who keeps being taken in by internet trolls who know exactly how to tap into your paranoia and need to feel special. You keep banging on about ego - maybe you should apply that to yourself. What kind of person other than an egomaniac refers to themselves as a 'watchman on the wall'...

So? So Ron has the totally top secret back channelz that aren’t available to people who aren’t in his secret club! Duh!!
  9. What are the current counts for seats in the house and senate? I’ve lost track.
  10. Who gives a shit what happened in Obama's term anymore - Can you not talk about anything other than either Obama or Hillary? And as the counts continue those precious Senate gains you've been harping on about are getting narrower and narrower. Picking up 1 or 2 in the senate but losing nearly 40 in the house? Yeah. You just keep up with all that 'winning'....
  11. Not if it pays shit and is in bumfuck nowhere. Let’s also not forget that amazon have just set up a $2 BILLION charitable contribution to low-income preschools and other charities. If you’re going to complain about them wrecking an area you can at least commend their other actions.
  12. You can’t exoect a draft-dodger to respect veterans, anyway.
  13. The interview for the next armed security position will only have one statement: Don't be black. This is a proper travesty. The 'good guy with a gun' did everything rightand was still shot by police with itchy trigger fingers. 'Thoughts and Prayers' to his baby daughter.... You don't just turn up to an event and start blasting, no matter what nonsense ChrisD says.

    Hillary 4.0

I seriously hope the Democratic Party can come up with a better option. They would do themselves serious and lasting damage if they don’t put forward a strong candidate this time.
  16. That's fine if you're actually counseling someone with emotional issues who you're trying to get to work through an issue. In the context of every day discussions, particularly on a political discussion board like this it's total cowardly bullshit. You don't get to make a statement then refuse to explain the thinking behind it based on some misapplied counseling practice. 'I think Trump fiddles with children while dancing naked round a satanic circle in the oval office each morning. No, I'm not going answer you when you ask 'why?' - it always leads to a defensive 'because' answer'. See? If you have a position on something have the integrity and courage to back it up with rationalization and explanation if requested.
  17. Ron, I'm curious to hear your response to this because I agree with you - we SHOULD be spending less, but these numbers aren't made up. Our deficit has increased rapidly under this Republican government. Maybe you need to stop with the labels - 'liberals tax and spend' etc and actually LOOK at what's happening. Given that this government has taken action directly in opposition to your stated preferred position of tightening the budget would you criticize their fiscal policies? Can you actually bring yourself to say that they're doing a poor job of managing it?
  18. What's wrong with a temporary appointment? What do you fear? As a workaround to the legality of the constitution? Is that a trick question or do you really not give a damn about anything but the 2nd Amendment that's in there. Some patriot, Ron.
  19. Changing famous quotes to alter their message isn't anything new, but I think it has reached an all time high. After all, as Oscar Wilde said "“There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is being deliberately misquoted".
  20. pretty much a victory for the president. He lost the house as was predicted and as is normal with midterms. But the games in the Senate are nearly unprecedented.
  21. Here’s a question: If the Democrats DO win the house, how quickly do you think Trump will try to delegitimize it? An Exective Order declaring the results ‘invalid until after an investigation’ maybe? That’s a worst case scenario, but I think it’ll be less than a day before he’s claiming hackers and DNC payoffs.
  22. And as a welfare state for federal taxes maybe you guys could do with paying your way a bit more before laughing at those who, you know, subsidize your services through our much loved taxes...
  23. While everyone likes the idea of 'lower taxes' in general that only goes so far. Take the idea to the extreme - NO TAXES FOR EVERYONE!!! Hooray! It's a giant win for the public until society collapses... Taxes have to exist and they have to be realistic to do the job they're intended for. That isn't liking taxes, it's just not burying my head in the sand and hoping the next dam to fail or bridge to to collapse doesn't affect me. I choose to pay for a resource that I use every day to a level that will keep it in good repair. My wife and I have bent a wheel each in the last few years because of potholes... that's the cost of underfunded roads. At nearly a grand a piece to repair these taxes will take a long time to rack up to that personal cost. Infrastructure repair across the US is criminally underfunded and it's never pushed as a big deal because it's not as sexy an issue as opening a hospital or school with a politicians name on it.
