    Strange, but I like spiders. Weird, considered by many, I know... But I never kill them, unless stepping on them inadvertently, or something. If I find them in my apartment, I put them on one of the plants, so they can be safe from accidental squishing. I also like watching them climbing up, or rappelling down on their lines, or working on a web -- those litttle things are amazing...

    Yeah, exactly what I would think... To see what partitions you have on the drive, simply right click on "My Computer" icon on your desktop, then go to Manage --> Disk Management. On the right side you will see the list of disks, and how the space is allocated on them. If you don't have any partitions on your second drive, or if your partition(s) are not formatted (i.e. there is no file system that you can access), you'll need to do some work. Should be pretty simple and self-explanatory from there, but let me know if you have any problems -- I'll walk you through. Edit: Duh! Too late... -------------- We were not born to fly. I always thought you don't have to pray for that, but I guess I better learn at least one prayer (which one is the best, BTW?), 'cause I definitely don't want to be opening my container by pulling the pin by hand! No, seriously, you are supposed to THROW your PC, not to "pull it in a lazy manner", and the physics will do the rest. But I better STFU, since there are many much more experienced people around here who can provide better explanations...

    What's shown on the second picture (top part of it) is a good chance of getting a horseshoe malfunction... You got the main idea right, but the pin shouldn't get pulled from the closing loop until the PC is in the airstream, inflated and at the bridle stretch. Your pic shows it being pulled by the bridle while the PC is still in your hand -- BAD thing... -------------- We were not born to fly. And all we can do is to try not to fall...

    You must be kidding! Are you seriously considering this pathetic stuff falling from the sky a "snow", let alone "too much" of it? Do you remember the winter of 1996-97, by any chance? That roof was completely covered by at least a foot of snow (I'm pretty sure it was more than that), and they were hosing it down -- it was an interesting sight!

I guess most people finally realized what crap that is, so these things became almost extinct now.     I have been dealing with my Dell laptops (second so far), my wife's Dell laptop, and Dell hardware at work on pretty large scale. Nothing but positive experience with laptops, desktops and monitors -- very reliable, and excellent service if there is any problem. However, it's a totally different ballgame when it comes to Dell servers. Absolutely the worst reliability and customer service! Hours on hold, and they also send a courier with replacement parts instead of a qualified tech. I can keep ranting on and on... I would buy Dell consumer product anytime, but God forbid to go anywhere near their server or NAS products! -------------- We were not born to fly. And all we can do is to try not to fall...

    AVI is not a file format -- it's just a container for different types of video. It all depends on the actual codec used to create a movie file. Some of the most common ones are DivX, XviD, H.264... If you have a proper codec installed, pretty much any multimedia player will do, including Windows Media Player, Winamp, and such. If you want a player that uses its own codecs, and doesn't rely on what's installed in your system, try GOM Player -- it's a pretty good app... -------------- We were not born to fly.     You know, believe me, being a Canadian myself (and a native Russian), I have a lot of not-so-nice words to say about Americans. But I won't, simply because I understand that there are at least as many good people as those I personally don't like in pretty much any country and nationality, and such gross generalization doesn't do anything, other than showing others something about yourself that you probably don't want to show...
