I'm going to start giving back. Every time I see a sticker on a car I'm going to act like the biggest fool I can. Beep, Wave, thumbs up, flash my moobs.
-
I was beeped at by someone I knew once. She said she saw an SGC sticker and had to beep.
-
Maybe that's what I need to do. But I'm sure most of them are tandems on their way home. I was on my way home from NC one week and 6 people in a SUV were honking at me, smiling and waving, they were all over the road, it still took me a minute.
-
This happens to me all the time. I'm traveling somewhere an I get someone honking at me. I look over and get an excited thumbs up or something to that effect. I do have a couple of stickers on the back of my work van. It just takes me a minute to figure out what "that idiot" is honking about.

Put the lines in the middle, quarter the slider, wad it up and shove it in the bag. Don't forget to set your brakes. If it hurts, roll the nose a little the next time. The only time that packing really matters (I think) is with really small canopies, BASE, and reserves.

She is pretty hot. It's a shame she is married. Are you? I'm single this week. (more than 100 miles from home)

I don't really know if it's all about landing it safe under normal conditions. Lets say that you land off with that canopy, could you land it in someones back yard or a tight spot without hurting yourself? Can your big ass shut it down before that big hard fence?

I don't know if this will help any. The DZ that I learn how to jump at uses Tandem Progression as the primary training program. It has worked for them for years. I'd say it was a small family oriented dropzone (Even if we always have a Otter or Casa sitting out front.) One of the main reasons that I picked this dropzone to learn at was because of Tandem progression. I wanted to learn about the canopy flight and landing with someone that knew how to do it. I figured having a few landings with someone else there would help me to see how it was done and build confidence. It was also priced less than AFF.

I don't know but it looks to me like your web browser was waiting on a webmailb.netzero.com web site. Maybe that was an email?

I was kind of surprised to not see Lake Wales on that list of DZ's. They don't count anymore do they.
-
I think this has come up before. Maybe do a search? I drive 60.4 miles 1 way to the DZ. It takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on how fast I drive and traffic conditions.

I have a few hundred jumps on a Synergy 170. I pack it like crap and it opens brisk but on heading. Sometimes I have to pump the brakes to get the slider down but I'm used to it now. I've never had a problem landing it - anywhere, but that's just me. When I first got it I was 158 lbs before gear, Now I'm 191 before gear. I was up to 208 at one point. It has always treated me fine. I do like a quick opening (400-600ft) it has never slammed me. I just had a brake line brake on opening a few weeks back. I'd like to say it was due but I think I didn't really slow down like I should have after spending the entire jump tracking for the DZ. It still didn't hurt.(Questionable weather, long spot, only me and a tandem with video on the plane.) I could have landed it on rears, but it was going to be an off DZ landing and my first landing on rears, so I chopped it. I really like the HMA lines. I would like to add that I got a synergy because I got a really good deal on it. Why not go ahead and get a 9 cell ZP? Everyone always asks me who makes my canopy or what am I jumping. I guess they are not very "mainstream" at the DZ's I have been to.

What does that have to do with anything? He didn't say he wanted a comfortable and lightweight rig.

I just dropped my cypres 2 off at ssk today for it's 4 year and they told me 3 weeks. Darn thing kept saying 0807. I figure while I'm waiting on new brake lines, I'll just have it serviced. Shipping? What's that?

That's too bad. Maybe you should put one in there. Whatever OS you are using you "can" have one. I think "someone" is looking at my posts. I seem to be getting more ads from dz server now.
-
I did want to point out I still get ads from reach.dropzone.com and I don't mind them. After I posted I got a big Skydive Arizona Ad at the top of my page. I still have not seen ads at the bottom of the page.

One way can be found here http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm You can also use the Immunize feature in Spybot S&D for some stuff. I have basically followed the directions on the mvps site. here is what the HOSTS file looks like. (Has porn site entries in it , maybe NSFW?) http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.txt

Update your HOSTS file. I get no ad's on most web sites I visit. I know that's how sites make extra money and all, but if I want something I'll go and look for it. Some anti Spyware programs will have an option to update your HOSTS file. Basically most ad servers are pointed to nothing.

Pillow Top Cal King. Why have anything else? Plenty of room for fun, or when the wifes mad, she wouldn't even know I was there, way on the other side. It was really fun to watch the people deliver it. Our house is pretty small, I'll hire someone to move the bed if we ever move.

We grow tomatoes and peppers every year, mainly for salsa and chili. This year I'm only growing roma tomatoes, Habanero, Jalapeno, and Bell peppers. The Habanero is going crazy, it has 25+ peppers on it and they are almost ready, I've already picked 2. Next time you come to the DZ ask my wife and she may tell you what she puts in her salsa. Last year we had Habanero, Jalapeno, Thai Dragon, Caribbean Red Hot, assorted Bell and a few other "sweet" peppers. The salsa tastes so much better when you grow it.

I'd say a 150 for a reserve was a little small. I've got over 300 jumps and my reserve is still bigger than my main. I like knowing that if I'm going to use my reserve that it is just a wee bit bigger, even if it's F111 and not the ZP I'm used to. Just ask yourself if you are ready to fly a canopy that small.

I think I burned my arm a little bit doing that. I'll just stick with the Calagel and Burrow's Solution (Domeboro). Those and the shot the doctor gave me have been making it suck a little less.

So, after a cutaway last weekend I went looking for my main and reserve freebag, I was on the lookout for poison Ivy the whole time. Apparently those big bushes that looked like a type of milkweed were poison sumac. I looked it up on the internet. I also have the rash from head to toe. Itchy.
-
:10:2 for first time climbing a 60+ foot tree to get my freebag. I also got poison ivy or something. for first skydiving competition. "Novice" class accuracy. 1st place with a total of 1.31 for 6 rounds and 1.89 for all 8. Lowest score was 0.05 I guess that's good for having about 25 jumps doing accuracy. (Classic 304)

I was at 194 this morning. Looks like I'm doing a pound a week. I've been doing way more jumps the past few weeks. I even got to climb a tree today and hike in a corn field. (main in field, freebag in 60ft tree, 1 broken brake line.)
