Last Post= Orlando Time @ end of April ~18+hrs FlyAway Las Vegas @ end of April ~30min. Now= Orlando Time @ end of May ~25 hrs FlyAway Las Vegas ~2 hrs. [Criss Angel, world famous magician was filming an episode of Mind Freak my second trip out to the Vegas tunnel. Ari and I filled out release forms and were asked to get back in the tunnel and fly for the A&E Channel's Mind Freak Series!] Fly Away Piegon Forge ~5 min. AAC ~1 hrs. Total Since Last Post: ~7 hrs. in 2 mons. (and 2 new tunnels flown!) I've been slacking on logging so an exact number past ~25 hrs at SVO is fuzzy. I don't know about other people that coach, but I don't add in the time spent coaching into my flight time totals. Nothing againist those that do or don't, just what I've done so far. Is this something that a lot of people do or don't? Anyone got input?

I think I missed the train on those for a few mons. Is it the post just updating our time and a little bio thing? I vaguely remember a post you stuck up. Ugh, I'm so busy lately, sorry I just can't remember exactly what post. Great idea to rile it back up though! Thanks for the response!!! Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com

How often do you fly in the tunnel? I know my time spent flying at the tunnel depends on how busy the schedule is for that given week. I allowed multiple answers so you can check what you do during busy and slow times. Please explain multiple answers. My choices: A few times a week or weekly. Sometimes it seems like I live there , that's not a bad thing if you smack your veins as much as I do (that's a joke, I don't do smack, please don't go there ). Sorry if the choices are stinky but this is nothing scientific folks

I learned a lot in tunnel time--- now, why am I rocking back and forth?

Damn, I hate logic I can understand this view (as lame as I think it is, its cool). I can see where they are coming from. I think what they may forget, is that bodyflight (in reference to those that don't jump) isn't trying to be skydiving. It doesn't need to be, its enjoyable in its own right. I flail unassisted Actually, I'm really good at that, esp. in your tunnel! It was super fun still! I can't wait to get another crack at it for more than one hour. I'm workin on the hip thing, its soooo slow but getting better every day. I forget I broke 3/4 of what holds the middle part of your body together, as far as hinges/joints go. My plates are really funky, one is a rectabgle to span the width of the break, then the second spans the heighth of the crack- it its 3 small circles stacked on top of one another. I done messed it up good but I'm getting better -

I'm with you on the fencing analogy- I got ya now, just looking for clarification, sorry it was late last night, I was beat. I have taught tennis at a professional level since I was in 6th grade. I'm now 24 and that has been my main job until recently. I still consider myself a student of the game, no matter how much money I could have or did make playing tennis at the professional level. I would however, also never tell someone that I was a student of tennis in regards to my ability. I think its more of a mind set maybe who knows. Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com -

I feel there are very few people out there that can afford to stop being students. Anyone who shows a willingness to learn anything can be considered a student. Why can't everyone be a student and always learning from one another to bring the sport to a whole new level? I'm not trying to argue here, just wondering why that can't be? There are a few skydivers out there than 'have it down' and actually really do. The rest of us (majority) should always be students, why is that bad? Don't take thing so seriously The progression you 'missed' at the tunnel (and what Ari was speaking of) is the progression of your own bodyflight skills. You should never stop being a student or progressing, push yourself to always improve instead of being complacent. **Not saying you do any of this, I'm just throwing advice into a public forum for response. Please don't take this to heart, it can be applied to EVERYONE. As I said before, I've spent a ton of time in there and still feel like a student, progressing through bodyflight skills. If you don't think you're a student of the tunnel (I am and have 25+ hrs., I just realized I know nothing about flying, still very much a student), your progression may suffer, no one hinders your flying except yourself. You should always be a student, always learning, you'll never be so good in the tunnel that you should stop learning and asking questions. Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com -

What Zenstier said. It's hard to tell without video. I don't know much, but when I breath and relax, my body position is so much better. Before taking a grip in a sit or head down, I take a deep breath to relax myself and prepare. That's what works for me Breath, relax, know you can do it (as you proved in the tunnel). Talk with your instructor about it, I'm sure they have GREAT advice. Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com -
OMG, I'm so happy you are around to post about it. The only cool pics I have of my damage (broken acetabulum-hip-2plates, 7 screws, 12 staples, etc.) are these: http://www.pinkmafiatunnel.com/ViewGallery.aspx?GI=33 Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com

Keep me posted, I'm sure the rats down here would love to get in on that event even if they have to pay for their time. If it ever gets past just an invite only, I know there would be much interest from some SVO employess. Phil is sooooooooooo excited to get out there and fly it. I could see him twitching as he was talking about it I'll keep you posted on my event to let you know what worked and what didn't (not that you haven't done this a ton already I'd guess). I'm sure they are going to be totally different events but sharing info that worked and didn't, never hurts. There might be some surprise that came up for me that also might for you. For big events regardless of subject, the more you know the more you can prepare for/brace for the worst, imo. Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com

I remember you and John saying that about the costs of a 16fter. It really stood out as an obvious downfall to the increase in size but I never imagined it would be so much that it would not make it a wise venture at all. It totally makes sense when you think about it though. I wish anyone all the best if they take on that venture. I'll surely be there to fly it

Different companies, different expenses, different tunnels, different fans, different air flow, different staff training (possibly), you get the idea. There are so many factors that can go into determining price. Bedford upgraded, they did not build from scratch. That is also one of the reason they will most likely be a successful, operational 16 ft. tunnel. Operating costs for that monster are going to be a biotch, for any 16 ft. tunnel for that matter. Operating costs for such a venture would be outrageous with start up costs and maintaince for a new tunnel. Thus making a 16 ft. SV or any other tunnel for that matter, is a very expensive and maybe not so great of an investment. Again, I know nothing. Take this for what it is worth, my opinion and take on the business side of things. Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com
