If there was a recirculating tunnel at SGC, I'd be home trying to work there in a heart beat! I miss the vibe and friends soooo much. FL is fun but it's not the same. Carrie & I send BIG hugs to everyone at SGC. Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com

Yup, already got that on lock down It's tough enough to take a camera in let alone things that could be flying all over the place. I make sure that there is virtually no way it can go a muck. Taking things in a tunnel is def. a privilege that is not taken lightly. Edited to add: not sure if this project is still on going, it hit some major road bumps around the end of July. If things do come to fruition, it should be a fun little project. Also, no amount of tunnel cut away training could replace a hanging harness or actual sky experience. Come fly and meet the Orlando staff. They are wonderful and know their shit. I have so much fun on all my visits! Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com

Practicing cutaway procedures on tunnel rigs may be closer than you think. You will be able to practice staying stable when you pull but there is no way to simulate a malfunctioning main in the tunnel. Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com

I can only say that I also got headaches from my bonehead (pretty sure it was not a rat hat though) no matter how many times I cooked it. I only cooked it a few but ultimately sold it for a Z1 and 2K camera helmet. My Oxygen flew open all the time in the tunnel so I sold it also and that helped pay for the other half of the Z1. Love my Z1. 2K custom makes them to your measurements, it's a great helmet. Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com

That is the exact reason I made the post, Very good point to bring up. Everyone works well w. different coaches. You should never rule out a coach completely. However, in the past 2 years Steve really hasn't been able to fly or coach much due to his shoulder injury and surgery. On the other hand, Sean has been cranking out their tunnel coaching, flying, and skydiving students so he's at the top of his game. This is just my 2 cents and I know that's not worth much Edited because of a PM I received: Look, all of this is common knowledge aroudn the tunnel. I'm not airing dirty laundy that is a secret. People have a right to know about the coahing they are paying for. It's not cheap nor do many have gobs of $ to just throw away. I like Blincoe, I have nothing againist him at all. He's a great guy. I have received top class coaching from tunnel rats not many people know and world class skydivers that are great or just have a name people know. I'd have to say, I get better instruction from the tunnel rats most of the time. There are of course sky coaches that I love in the tunnel like Sean MacCormac, Joao Tambor, Fabian Ridel, & Juliana Se. Not only are they a joy to fly w., they are incredible at pushing your skills and improving your flying dramatically in just a 15 minute session. The gobs of tunnel time between them all is astounding and it shows in their coaching, flying techniques and styles. I find that some of my students don't know who Juliana is and to me she is one of the best if not the best female tunnel flyer. I've never seen her in the sky but I have no doubt she is amazing there too. I also have to agree that most coaches esp in the tunnel get good on their students time. I see many coaches in the tunnel demonstrating a skill to their students for almost half a session, sometiems over a minute. To me ,that seems silly. A good pre-brief and a short demo should do the trick (granted some need that long instruction but I don't think the majority do). I get my students in there working on their skills. What's the point of having students if you are going to fly their time? You're not improving your coaching then, just your flying. If you're coaching you're probably getting free time some how, use that to improve your skills. I get very upset when coaches demonstrate for too long on my time, I feel jipped. The biggest thing I tell students about THEIR tunnel time (regardless of who booked it, they are paying for it) is to OWN IT! You don't like how something is going, tell the coach, work on something else or a new method of communication. If a skill is going well and you want to work on it some more, don't move on immediately if the coach wants to. Stand your ground but recognize when it's time to move on to a new skill and follow your coaches wishes. Just don't let them steamroll over you. For me the most successful coaching session are when I have a student who give me feedback. I always try and ask questions to see how things are going; some are forth coming w. answers and others I have to pry. I find if they have a lot to say they learn a ton more. If things aren't going well, I know then and there to change it up and try something new to make the session successful. Tunnel time is expensive and so is coaching. Own your time people! Thanks Jenn! I always love the inductions I'm lucky to be a part of. It really is amazing the women I have met since starting the TPM. It amazes me that there are so many females out there that share the love of tunnel flying and Barbie

7pm East Coast time on Channel 4. I've got my DVR capturing the whole thing so I don't miss it. -
I studied abroad there a few years ago and it is a wonderful town. Be sure to check out the stone owl for good luck. I'm sure you'll love it. Small town, quite and safe but still a really good time. Great food, people, and industry. Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com

Oh man, let's just say after a session, a driver, name unmentioned, ran into a car right in front of them. We were just trying to make it out of the apt. complex so we'd only been driving for a min. tops! Thank goodness no one in the car spoke English so they weren't really all hyped up on calling the cops since they weren't exactly legal, lol! It's been treating me kind. I can't thank you enough, it's a rocking present! Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com

I broke my hip and started flying in the tunnel before I was jumping. I found it to be great but expensive rehab for my hip. I was lucky enough to have a docotor who has pieced together at least 3 other skydivers I know. He had a clue and knew I'd jump again which made it easier for him to determine when tunnel flying and/or skydiving would be alright. Each injury is different and we here on dz.com are in no way qualified to give you advice on when to start tunnel flying. Check w. your doctor and explain to him what it is, resistance w. no impact. Just don't try anything crazy and hit the walls Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com

Hey Mick!!!! So good to hear from you. I was hoping you and Pun would remember me and Ari. We are so stoaked to get out there and fly. I bet your skillz are crazy as hell now, can't wait to fly w. you if you are up for it

General tunnel progression is something like belly, back, stand/walking, sit, flips, transitions, hd. If you have the cash the tunnel will help but don't expect to go right in on your head. You might be surprised how different and difficult sit flying can be for some in the tunnel. It's different than the air but most of the time if you get it going in the tunnel, it converts to the sky. Get a coach for your tunnel time, you will learn emensley.
