I visited LaBelle for the CASA boogie and had a blast jumpin there. The landing area is huge and provides plenty of space for large or small loads. The gear store is awesome and run by two fantastic people, Roy and Ann. Everyone is so helpful and willing to get you on jumps with them. Can't beat the friendly staff, they definately go above and beyond. Whatever you need, ask and they will try to acommodate. Had a great time jumpin there and would suggest visiting.

I've spent most of my skydiving career at SGC. The people are like family and its a great place to learn how to skydive and improve your RW skills. Great parties with bonfires and bbq sometimes. You can't beat the people, the plane [Casa :)], and the atmosphere. There is a huge landing area with plenty of outs and a great staff to assist you with whatever you may need. Highly recommend jumping here, come out and see for yourself; I'm positive you'll have a great time :)

I've had two wonderful experiences at Lake Wales. The staff is awesome and provide a great intro. to the place if you have not visited before. Safety is a main concern as I saw during collegiate nations. There were some problems with landing patters on several loads; everyone was gathered and reinformed of policies and how things should be done. This was very impressive as planes and competetion were stopped. I commend Betty for her commitment to safety. The freefly coaching from Blincoe and MacCormac is top notch. I did tunnel time with Blincoe and loved every second of it. Saw an instant improvement in my sit flying. I also worked on my sit with MacCormac and had a blast jumpin with him. Both provide great feed back and tips for improvement. Betty is just the sweetest lady around. She's runs an emaculate dz which I would highly recommend. Try the food, I suggest the pizza!

Again, the more you know, the more you think about, the better protected you are. How is thinking of that as a possibility a bad thing? I am simply saying that it might happen or contribute. Guess I'll consult an expert (like yourself) before discussing serious issues like this again; I'm really sorry for raising attention to this issue in a way that was deemed unsutiable. I think you are misconstruing my objective. Point and case: You say the info about the hair is bogus. It may be, but I never thought about a man grabing long hair to lure me into a situation like that. I know I'm not the only one who hadn't though of that or other things in the post. Just giving people stuff to think about. The whole idea was to give people something to think about and analyze. I don't think any of us are qualified experts on this subject. If someone were, they would state that in the post so people would know that what they said could be taken as a final word on the subject. I think people know and assume that when they are taking advice esp. from the talk back/bonfire forum, they should take it with a grain of salt and come to conclusions for themselves. Knowledge is only power when it is correct. "Knowledge" can be destructive when it's wrong. Take the good points from that email (stay aware of your surroundings), but please realize that most of it just isn't right. I was hoping people were smart enough to do that for themselves. Guess I won't assume that next time. I posted this so people would have things to think about, analyze for themselves, and come to their own conclusions. Never did I say this is what you should do or think about when being raped. Nothing like rape is predictable to only have one solution.
