are you sure you don't mean Omega??? and I'm guessing you mean demoing a canopy... test jumping is something far different. Sorry if it sounds condescending, but.... Just a video of me during my canopy class!!

I find that spectres are actually pretty versatile to land... you can swoop them, or sink them in. You just have to pick the style that works for you, and get used to it... or get used to them both, either way. Right. That being said, and them having a history of doing the same thing repeatedly, also having a history of not being a company that improves upon their mistakes, not one that keeps making them over and over again, one might consider that there is reasoning that goes into why they do things the way they do. Just being argumentative at this point, but I personally, don't see the problem with the way they advertise early, and really think that, even if not intended, my previous post is at least a positive side effect. Ok, this is just my thoughts on the whole matter. When the katana first was advertised, everyone and their dogs wanted to get a demo and test jump it. Now however, after a little while, it seems that much of the "to do" about it has died down... Just a thought... perhaps PD doesn't want everybody and their dog jumping this canopy, and waited this long so the people who do demo it, will do it because they know what they want out of a canopy rather than just wanting to be the first one on the block with the newest toy... I don't know, not directed at anyone in particular, just my thoughts. so, has anyone come up with a punchline to "why'd the deer cross the runway?" yet? S.E.X. party #1 "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "f*#k, what a ride".

If I could find the right thing to say, I would, but I suppose someone else is going to have to fill in the blank.... S.E.X. party #1 "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "f*#k, what a ride".

yep, that would be my old spectre... I told everyone that was about to try it for the first time, that reaching for your handles was what made it open, jsut to prepare them for the length of the snivel... personally, I loved the canopy.... I have personally dealt with skykat, and they were super. A friend of mine has dealt with rigs n things, and said they were top notch too. Although those are all I personally have experience with, I'm sure most on the list are good to go. Good luck with whatever gear you decide on. Thanks for the link.. I didn't know it existed actually, and it looks like a tempo 120 would be good, if I can find one, thanks a lot. Actually, I'm going to use my current rig as a crew rig, so all I need for that is a main, and a square reserve for that too. I'm not good at saving money, and it's there now. I know for sure that I will continue to swoop for as long as I can, so not wanting the gear is a non-issue.
