Rain hurts more than snow....hop n pops are good in either. Just wear gloves, find a few other crazy people like you to fill a load and dry out your canopy after.

I'll also be doing my 100th at the Christmas boogie... naked is always good, or else you could try for a high altitude load, balloon jump etc. Naked big way would get my vote!

It definitely isn't for everyone - when I first started Dave, my first instructor, told me that when he started skydiving he lost all his friends, but made better ones. I never thought it would happen to me, but it has! I'm still friends with some whuffos, but don't see them as much. One cool thing is that I've met a lot of people interested in skydiving, who have come out with me and we've become friends through that. So don't worry - it just isn't for some people, but you'll meet tons of other cool people through the sport.

Yeah - you've already heard this, but congratulations. Thanks for not mentioning that I was also on the load jumping a new main for the 1st time I'm hurt! And for James who never comes out anymore - perfect weather and I got 4 jumps in before I had to leave. Yes, beer, but not next weekend...I'm not out. Where were you? Up for jumping on Monday?

I'm 18 - started jumping with a friend who is also 18. A few people are 23-26 at my DZ, but mostly an older crowd. Never notice the age difference though - its not an issue. -
I've jumped a racer on borrowed gear - fit great, and had no problems with it other than the pop-top reserve. Not great for CReW... For a while they were the container to have, now they are considered older technology, but there is nothing wrong with them... Just watch the pop-top. Congrats on your gear BEER!!

This is a great DZ with really great people. Definitely small - they mostly offer tandems to tourists, but a good group of experienced people who are a lot of fun to jump with. The view from the top is amazing, and there is never a long wait for a load.
