Married Couples - Have you ever Seen your partner..
vskydiver replied to Unstable's topic in The Bonfire
Don't you think there is enough crap in a relationship without adding that? -
I agree with most things people are saying here. I don't think there is any one good answer to this question though. I think that every relationship is going to be different. What works for one relationship isn't going to work for another. I think every relationship takes a great deal of, not work really, but maybe an emotional effort and is complicated. That is guaranteed. My one disagreement of what people are saying here is: I think that you can take two people with different backgrounds, ideas, values, religions upbringing etc. and form a good relationship. I think that because I did it. John and I had nothing in common when we met. We weren't even in the same generation! But when we formed a relationship we came together as one. We sacrificed and compromised for the good of the relationship and for each other because that is what was important to us. We still do. We are one unit together. And all the more happy for it. Things and other people are not as important and we are together. I also think that keeping the "honeymoon" alive is very important. We got married for a reason! Why does that end when someone decides the honeymoon is over? My honeymoon is NOT over yet. I refuse to let that end. I'm having too much fun. Keep the fun going! It helps get you through all the rest.

Well it was sure kicking my butt! That's why I felt like a wimp. I always felt a little better after a jump though so I made big efforts to at least make one jump on the weekend. We do what we have to do I guess.
-
Hey! No one was looking! You didn't see that!
-
Hey! We're not that bad are we? You should have seen us when we first got married! We'll try and tone it down when we come next month.

Reminds me of a friend of mine that had pancreatic cancer. He used to jump with his chemo pump zipped up into his jumpsuit. On the ride up he'd have to occasionally adjust it so the alarms wouldn't go off, I guess, because of the altitude. Made me feel wimpy because at the time I was only taking oral chemo.

John and I will be there. Might bring the kids too or at least the home grown packer kid. We've got some rad swag coming from PD for this as well and we'll be flying the most awesome PD wind blade and flags too! -

What are you ponerin? Just go! Click on "I will attend the Mini West Plains boogie" on the Facebook events page and drive over! -
Nope, I'm not sharing John either.
-
Well, we'll have to come up with something else to share because I'm not going to drink JD.
-
Nah, YOUR safe! Oh! Well, then, how about I mix you another rum thingy.
-
I think you better run Turtle!! I'm hiding!
-
Ha! I knew that wasn't you! I figured you'd be better looking anyway.
-
Nice! I'm sorry I missed that jump.
-
Does he like the JD? Maybe we can distract him too?
-
Dang Turtle! I think it's too late! I think we're in trouble!
-
Just got this from him in a Pix Message . . . That's one ugly truck. Poor guy!
-
Yes! I think Lisa has hidden powers and I just don't want to find out the hard way! All you have to do is hand her soe Jack Daniels and a mixer and she'll be distracted . . . then you can share some with her. Someone handed me some JD when I was 14 (at a church dance!) in a rootbeer bottle. I was thirsty! I drank half it down before I realized it wasn't rootbeer! I haven't drank that stuff since. I'll distract her with it, but I'm not sharing it. What are you going to do when I distract her?
-
Oh! Then I'm at the end of my computer experience. Have you called a Priest? Maybe it needs to be de-demonized? Is it spewing pea soup or anything?
-
Did you reboot?
-
Yes! I think Lisa has hidden powers and I just don't want to find out the hard way!
