  1. Kind of like the blind date where you go "Wow, she was really hot!" and she's all like, you know . . . Internet friends? Sure, but I sure wish I could meet them all. Squeak, we're looking forward to the Holidays with you. Nekkid Pics? Damn, i never get any of those. MMM did you just ask for nekid pics of Squeak ??? im sure hell oblige when he gets there LMFAO That is how I read that post as well. Hum.... The only explanation I have is maybe he's asking for the nekkid pictures for me. He's very thoughtful that way.
  2. Not trying to bust your bubble, but why would pressure from you carry any weight? JohnMitchell works for the FAA and he's here to help you!
  3. You're staying with the Mitchell's when you come to Washington!
  4. No not me! Tandems weren't around when I started skydiving.
  5. I got a room for ya! Keeping it warm until you get here. Do we need to bring ear plugs We're discreet. We don't want to traumatize the kids down the hall.
  6. I got a room for ya! Keeping it warm until you get here.
  7. OH! I can't wait! I got new stuff from Victoria Secret I wanna show you!
  8. I can't believe you said that!! That is just SO NOT true! People are going to feel sorry for me needlessly.
  9. You deserve to be so proud! What a great kid!
  10. Usually he's a work on his break posting on DZ. I'm at home. Sometimes he'll be downstairs on his computer and I'll be upstairs with my laptop. If we're sitting next to each other on a big comfy couch, we won't be posting.
  11. You have to say that. But thanks!
  12. They raised four (?) kids - is this even a question? Lab? Oh yeah, I forgot about all the science experiments we did in the kitchen, too. Our kitchen has had a lot of use. Like I say, we cook a lot, and can, and everything else. All the appliances have been replaced at least once, the vinyl floor has been replaced with ceramic tile ( a very cost-effective flooring, if you ask me), and the molding redone. But the laminate counter tops keep soldiering on. John: I like the clarity you bring to the conversation .... at least one portion of the counter space should be cushioned ! We just throw a blanket over it. That's all the cushion you need.
  13. Those pies were just for Thanksgiving. I have a whole other batch of fresh pies I'm going to make when you come visit. The pies never stop around here. Don't worry.
  14. We put our turkey in the brine Tuesday night and took it out this morning. So it spent a little extra time in the brine. I went and lay down for a while at the very end of the cook time After making 8 pies I was really tired! The turkey temperature got up to 168 when I finally got around to taking it out of the oven. At rest it got up to 172! I thought it would be ruined but it was still very delicious and moist! I also put the foil loosely on the legs to keep them moist. I like it better that way. I like the dark meat. Give me a moist thigh to chew on and I'm happy.
  15. Honey, we didn't have 7 freakin' pies. We had 8 freakin' pies. Why don't you just take your pants off. You'll feel much better.
  16. I also made --2 lemon meringue pies --A green layered salad --A strawberry Jello salad My sister is here making several vegie dishes. I hope we have enough to eat!
  17. Just boil up a bunch of vegies to make a stock. Put in some pepper corns and allspice, salt etc.. Even if you don't have the candied ginger you can do it without. Soak the turkey over night and you'll have a much tastier bird the next day. You'll be glad you did.
  18. You can find the veg stock right next to the chicken stock in the store. JohnMitchell and I actually don't even buy that stuff for it. It's really expensive for vegetables and water! So we make our own veg. stock. Makes the whole house smell really good too!
  19. Ha! That is the Alton Brown recipe from the Food Channel. Yes our bird is RIGHT NOW in that very brine. It makes the best turkey EVER!!! I wouldn't do a turkey any other way. It makes the most delicous, moist turkey I've ever had. YUM!
  20. We live amongst many Christmas Tree farms out here in the Pacific Northwest. Our favorite is maybe 1.5 miles down the road. It has a train that you can ride out to the deepest parts of the tree farm. You get off and wander around until you find the perfect one. Cut it with your trusty saw and drag it back to where the train will pick you up and load it on the train. You go back and stand around the bon fire drinking hot chocolate or licking your candy cane while they net your tree up for easy travel. It's kind of fun. JohnMitchell especially likes the train ride. It's part of our Christmas tradition.
  21. I usually always drink beer. I love beer! But since I'm giving the gluten free diet a try I can't drink beer right now. It has gluten in it. Celiac is one of those auto-immune diseases that has a genetic predisposition. Since I've already got one auto-immune disease (Lupus) seems like this might be somewhat likely. It's worth an investigation anyway.
  22. Hi GaryRay! Just dropping in to say hey and happy 500+ posts!
