Ya know, just cuz you ain't jumping doesn't mean you can skip Prairie. From what I've heard, it's normal for people to not jump there. We've never met but Dave seems to like ya. I understand you need and want to vent sometimes, but it can be very hard to just listen, not ask questions, and/or offer advice especially when we get the impression that we're not getting the full story, feel something may have been missed, misinterpreted, etc. Also any time we're either saying nothing or just the agreement, disagreement, sympathy, confusion noises we're invariably asked if we're really listening. Ditto. I want opinions, advice, suggestions when I talk to good friends/S.O.'s. If I'm being a stupid or a dumbass, I want people to tell me. You see, I don't think that's fair to the other person. If you don't want their help why bother them with the problem and make them worry as well? They of course are free to do what they choose, but I feel they should at least hear you out for listening to them. If someone doesn't want any feedback, they should talk to someone completely impartial or a pet. Your idea sounds good in theory and I used to think the same way. Make your choices with your $$$. The problem is the companies seem to get together and split things up amongst themselves and "normalize" their procedures, salaries, benefits, etc. These days the only way to get change is lawsuits or government laws.
