    Suggesting that since you're willing, err forced to change your "standards" others should change theirs. While change is a good thing, it generally doesn't come without some sort of at least perceived necessity. I'm guessing you're not gonna get too many takers with that argument. Stop the bragging, stop the bitching, stop trying to impress, and just be.

    A company raising it's minimum wage and a country raising it's required minimum wage do not correlate. If a company raises its wages and other companies follow suit, that's just capitalism at work.

    Wrong!!! Don't get mad, and Twardo is a good guy and all, but his Mrs. is so far out of his league it's unbelievable. She is one of the mostest coolest ladies I've ever met and an absolute dear.     Well, I think that "science" can induce a belief in a higher power (through the use of drugs or other methods that may one day be developed much further). But yeah, that doesn't fill one's need for "religion," which might involve certain rituals and a sense of community (and which there is also likely a scientific explanation for, and therefore likely a scientific substitution - I guess I don't really see anything as being outside the realm of science, but then it's a fairly broad term). That's a really scary thought. So those that choose not to believe may someday be able to be given a drug or something to "fix" that, possibly not by their choice.     Great weekend at CarolinaFest. New friends, old friends, Katana 135 demo, an awesome 4 point 10 way with Kirk Verner, got to jump with Amy Chmelecki, new EG freefly suit, won a certificate for money off a Bonehead helmet too. Great parties and vibe. 10 jumps total (2 free) but didn't get there until late Friday afternoon and none today.     I knew that. Just an old American joke. Was watching the first US Canada Olympic hockey game in Belize that the US won. At the end of the 3rd period, I jokingly walked up to some canadian friends and said, "I dunno why everyone is celebrating, ya'll can still catch up in the 4th quarter." The look of shock and awe on their face as they thought I was serious was priceless. From a whuffo friends little sister's friend: "Is New Years Day on the first or second?"     One problem with that sentiment: this effects not only the "rednecks" in the region, but the US, North America, and the entire world either directly through the oil being spread through storms and currents but indirectly through financial impact and policy as well.     Hey, that's just how it goes. Haven't you ever not called when you said you would? She may have been pretty, but if she's not into you, not much you can do. I've been right there with ya. I could be misinterpreting him, but I think it's more about her just not saying anything than the fact she wasn't into him. If one is interested in someone enough to go out with them, at least have the courtesy to tell them when it's over too.
