Why you weren't using the standard RAWA side mount box (other than the apparent indestructable nature of that Shummaker box) ? It's one of the things I really like about the RAWA. Honestly the new Helmet I just ordered will have the RAWA side box, mounted with a quick release, so I can put a Digital SLR on top and the PC camera on the side, or, take the box off and slide to PC back on top. Top mount makes it a little cleaner image, less vibration and less chances of riser strikes on deployment. The side box does not feel like you have a vertical stab when you transition... the only thing I really can think of. At the time I built this one (rip) I did not expect to put the SLR on, and leaving the camera exposed seemed like a rather dumb idea.. The 2K helmets+boxes have to be the cleanest looking I have seen but, for my head, Rawa is simply the best fit.

it's ok, the less I speak with insurance companies the better I feel. I really have to say that the camera is ok thx to Terry Schummaker's (sp?) box (this is no advertising—more like a thank you).

Why don't you donate it to the Bent Prop and put it on Matt Hoffmans trashed bike. That is a great idea, thank you will do that! I always thought you were a creative young man Nathan, against what everybody else used to say.

Polly! Seems like employees do that kind of stuff.. Glad it's not terrorist related, would be a rather lame terrorist attack in my mind... but then again my mind's wires have been re/dis/wrongly connected too. So tell us, what were you up too during those couple hours? Skating up n down La Cienega in your hot pants and race blades or did you manage to meet up with Frenchy to make the best of it?

did you guys notice that the HOT AIR BALLOON shot, the non busted balloon looks identical to BURNER's balloon in Eloy, might be the same one. Anybody got a pic to compare?

No shit... $400 gone, new one on the way... it was to this date, the most comfortable helmet I ever had, I loved it... the sucker fit like a glove!

Hard Lesson... Do not leave your Helmet lying on the bench, on the tram while on your way to the Otter... it might decide to jump off and take a little ride on the tarmac before ending UNDER the tires of a fully loaded tram. My pride and joy got crushed like a paper cup. I would point out that the camera is fine saved by the box. yeah it was 3 months old.

I don't think this is making fun of the disaster in the south, but more about how certain things were handled I'm surprised it's not a catfish or a lil 'gator... I might add this might be a 'speakers corner' one.
