Hey dutchboy...that is the price per hour for the instructor and he's been there for almost 20 years and is VERY, EXTREMELY experienced. My grandpa hates their FBO for reasons that will be left unknown, but he still recommends him as a great instructor. He is the manager of the FBO, so I'm sure he pockets most of that $15. I would like to go there for the training. It is less than a 5 minute drive there. Now, if they would only have a DZ there.

Hey all.....I have seen some need lately for some skydiving cartoon icons and whatnot. I have put up my FTP program for awhile so that you can go there and download whatever you want. I'll leave it on through tomorrow at about 5pm. This means you have about 22 hrs to use it. Just type this into your internet explorer: ftp://65.31.51.228/ Make sure you get the numbers correct. Hope it helps you out and you find something you like. Later all! Brandon ------------- http://www.JumpinDuo.com "oh no. Not another one"-Alienangel

Watcher, are you saying that you tried to change it 5 minutes after you posted the first time? Hmm....if so, that shouldn't happen. However, like HH sez, after 6 hrs, it is a part of history. ------------- http://www.JumpinDuo.com "oh no. Not another one"-Alienangel

Hey Ben.....that stainless hardware on the Wings is great. I have not noticed any loosening from any of the buckles. I thin they have been made correctly this time. And, of course, the stainless just looks awesome too!! You won't be disappointed. ------------- http://www.JumpinDuo.com "oh no. Not another one"-Alienangel

When you go to the local FBO, just check out their prices for the materials (probably about $120 for the Jeppessen bag, books, charts, instruments), plane rental ($63 per hour, wet), and then instructor per hour ($15 here locally). Then you need 20 hours of flight time with an instructor and 20 more hours at least solo, which brings it to 40 total hours. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.) Add this all up and you have (120+2520+300=$2940). This is assumming you dont require extra hours of instructor time and/or solo time to finish x-country flights and night flying. Good luck to anyone wanting to do this! ------------- http://www.JumpinDuo.com "oh no. Not another one"-Alienangel

that pretty much covers it!! however, where is the skydiving?? Oh wait....that is how we get there. Pop the door and land on the golf coarse and at the harbor. Thanks! ------------- http://www.JumpinDuo.com "oh no. Not another one"-Alienangel

$7000 is a bit much. From what I have heard, for $7000, you could get about two quick learners trained and licensed. ------------- http://www.JumpinDuo.com "oh no. Not another one"-Alienangel

for those of you who haven't seen the newest stainless hardware (from PdF, I believe), it is great and I have not experienced any slipping. granted, I only have 2 jumps with it, I didn't have any of that. Just thought you'd be interested. Brandon ------------- http://www.JumpinDuo.com "oh no. Not another one"-Alienangel

Hahaha....hey guys, I know that my handle may suggest that I am the 2nd-in-command post whore, however, I am really a mild mannered skydiver that is just wishing for good weather this weekend. Don't let it fool you! I couldn't help it... ------------- http://www.JumpinDuo.com "oh no. Not another one"-Alienangel

Richard......I agree with you on the part of I dont like this. However, if there are people who use it, I can't make them change. But I am with you on wishing I wasn't around it. There is enough high with skydiving. ------------- http://www.JumpinDuo.com "oh no. Not another one"-Alienangel

I have never seen WhiteHouse (err...Casablanca), however I have never heard anything bad about it. I guess those B/W movies don't get me going. I gotta rent it someday. ------------- http://www.JumpinDuo.com "oh no. Not another one"-Alienangel

I dont think we should look at what has been done, because there is a site for everything. But, how well something has been done is what we need to look at. Hell, look at this site...it is THE best skydiving site I have seen and I've seen most of them. I would say the closest competetor this has would be headdown.net, but they are geared towards the Scandanavians. Lets try to find something that we all like (of course, HH) and see if there are any sites for it that are worth a damn. Cuz we all know that HH could out-do just about anyone when it comes to web design/content quality. ------------- http://www.JumpinDuo.com "oh no. Not another one"-Alienangel
