tie in Usernames to Dropzone Listings
mountainman replied to mountainman's topic in Suggestions and Feedback
Gus, that is a good idea, however it seems there would have to be some type of limit. Some folks would choose 20 DZs that they have jumped at or something like that. Perhaps have 3 slots dedicated to your "home DZs" and then another place they could type in other places. I am seeing this as more of a search tool and such. Just my .02. HH.. any thoughts? http://www.brandonandlaura.com -
Hehhe... thanks. :) http://www.brandonandlaura.com

For old time sake: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=125292 Heh heh heh... can anyone get to that video in there? (top post) http://www.brandonandlaura.com

I agree....one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Skreamer...he took it like a man! He certainly did. I thought it was great that he shared it with all of us. Those were in the days of about 8 regulars. Heh heh. He caught some major hell from us all. http://www.brandonandlaura.com

I remember that vid from a couple years back when he got out and they weren't even near the DZ. Everyone was like "WTF?" LOL... that was classic. What's up, Skreamer!! Another "original" there. http://www.brandonandlaura.com

Looks like you all had fun! Too bad I had to jet out of there around 7ish. Blah. It was good to meet you Paige. http://www.brandonandlaura.com

tie in Usernames to Dropzone Listings

If you have 3 home DZs, just pick the one you most frequent or closest to your house. If you travel for most, pick the one you travel to the most. I see this for people who want to travel to another state and know who jumps there. I think it would rule. http://www.brandonandlaura.com -
tie in Usernames to Dropzone Listings
mountainman replied to mountainman's topic in Suggestions and Feedback
Hmm... can this be done? I'm sure that this would be a very long and tedious project to get done, but would there be a way to have users select their dropzone from a drop-down list (perhaps cascading based on the previous drop down menu... e.g. N. America-->USA-->Ohio-->Select DZ) instead of just typing in their Dropzone? If you could do that, you could automatically make their Dropzone a hyperlink to the dropzone. But, here is my great idea: When you actually go to the Dropzone Listing, you would see ALL of the Dropzone.com members that list that dropzone as their Home DZ. I travel a lot and it would be great to know who to contact for info or whatever on the local DZ. Just a thought. I know it would be a lot of work on your part and all members would have to go back into their profile and "fix" their home DZ. Just a thought. -Brandon http://www.brandonandlaura.com -
Sounds like the African King that has millions for you to hold for him. Perhaps he's a networking guru and needs to make the money back? http://www.brandonandlaura.com

Sounds good!! I got "winded out" today. It was gusting over 20kts. Blech. Anyway, I have another lesson scheduled for Saturday morning. After that, I'm heading to the DZ to jump. It should be a great day!! -

What have you trained it to do? The 172 I'm training in holds 56 gal. Does this constitute tank-envy? How long have you been flying and how is it going? -C. I've been flying now for less than 3 weeks. It is going great! I have 7.5 hours as of today and have another lesson tonight. I have pics/vid here: http://www.brandonandlaura.com/flying/ Got my medical and I'm working on my presolo exam. I hope to go solo in the not-too-distant future. -

The Cessna 152 that I am training holds 24.5 useful gallons of fuel. It's the first thing I thought of. http://www.brandonandlaura.com -
Awesome! It worked. I can finally remember it now. http://www.brandonandlaura.com

Thanks for the info, folks. I haven't heard anything else via email or any other means. I usually talk to skygod for my info. I heard the same about the Otter and such. That really sucks. If anyone knows the story for today, please let me know. :) http://www.brandonandlaura.com

mountainman replied to BravestDog's topic in Error and Bug Reports
There's a "Talk Back broken" thread in this forum. There's also a discussion in Suggestions and Feedback. Reading those firt would be greatly appreciated. Well, I didn't think it was supposed to be that way, so my brain said "error". So... to the error forum I went. And, I didn't see anything in Annoucements. Seems like a good place to put that a whole forum is down. Blues to ya Sangiro, B http://www.brandonandlaura.com -
I guess I should address this message to the most high strung person I know (holy shit): There was a guy at the DZ who said the only reason he flew the 182's at the DZ was to build time for his career. He was in the commercial program in Indy and needed to build time. He did so by flying many loads there. You need to fuckin chill out, Chris. Just because you are an ATP and have been flying many hours for jumpers doesn't mean you have the last and final say in everything. God damn. Fly for free. Just go ahead. Fly for free. Then I will hunt you down and will [said through clinched teeth]CUT YOU!!! Have a nice day. http://www.brandonandlaura.com

T SHIRTS WHATS THE DEAL????
mountainman replied to RichardWeed's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
My thoughts on good skydiving T's: I dont like big graphics. Those just look too gaudy. Keep it simple and have a small headdown guy or something on the breast and have the word(s) skydive, headdown, freefall or something. Don't make the graphic look "extreme" or goofy. A nice, simple T would be nice. B http://www.brandonandlaura.com
