Also if you eat raw veggies, the enzymes required to break them down is actually contained in the vegetable. When we cook them we destroy these enzymes and our body has to make them, putting extra stress on the enzyme producing organs. "May the best of your past be the worst of your future"

    Heaven

A New Englander dies and is sent to hell. He had been a horrible man throughout life and even the devil wanted to punish him, so he puts him to work breaking up rocks with a sledgehammer. To make it worse he cranks up the temperature and the humidity. "Love my kingdom!" laughs the devil. After a couple of days the devil checks in on his victim to see if he is suffering adequately. The devil is aghast as he looks at the New Englander happily swinging his hammer and whistling a happy tune. The devil walks up to him and says, "I don't understand this. I've turned the heat way up, it's humid, you're crushing rocks; why are you so happy?" The New Englander, smiling big, looks at the devil and replies, "This is great! It reminds me of August in New England. Hot, humid, a good place to work. It reminds me of home. This is fantastic!" The devil, extremely perplexed, walks away to ponder the New Englander's remarks. Then he decides to drop the temperature, send down driving rain and torrential wind. Soon, hell is a wet, muddy mess. Walking in mud up to his knees with dust blowing into his eyes, the New Englander is happily slogging through the mud pushing a wheelbarrow full of crushed rocks. Again, the devil asks how he can be happy in such conditions. The New Englander replies, "This is great! Just like April in New England. It reminds me of working out in the fields with spring planting!" The devil is now completely baffled. Angry, and desperate to make hell really hell, he tries one last ditch effort. He makes the temperature plummet. Suddenly hell is blanketed in snow and ice. Confident that this will surely make the New Englander unhappy. The devil checks in on the New Englander. He is aghast at what he sees. The New Englander is dancing, singing, and twirling his sledgehammer as he cavorts in glee. "How can you be so happy? Don't you know it's 40 below zero!?" screams the devil. Jumping up and down the New Englander throws a snowball at the devil and yells, "Hell's frozen over!! This means the RED SOX have won the WORLD SERIES!!!!!!!! 17. i so totally agree with this. the best gift i ever got was a 1/2 day at the spa. that included a massage, facial, mud bath thingy, lunch, a manacure, and my hair styled. i left feeling like a queen. I have to agree with these two on this one. My favorite gift ever from my ex was a day at the spa, including a massage, facial, manicure, pedicure and lunch. It was the best except when it was time to leave, I thought they were going to have to drag me out. I loved it so much, I now do it for myself once or twice a year. It does not matter what "type" or girl she is, everyone loves to be pampered once in awhile. Vermont Teddy Bears are cute but I have one and it just sits and collects dust. Something I did once for my boyfriend's birthday...took him out for dinner, then for a horse and carriage ride around Boston, then said we were going to this hotel bar for a drink, where I had rented a room earlier that day, went in, put a bottle of champagne on ice, chocolates and rose petals all over the bed, and brought a CD player and had it playing romantic music when we arrived, also a few fun things waiting as well, you can imagine the rest. I am the type of person who likes experiences over material objects. Whatever you do, I am sure she will love it. Have fun! Melissa "May the best of your past be the worst of your future"
  18. Yeah I know this will sound weird and I have yet to test it because I have not bled on anything since I was told this. My sister got blood on her shirt once and was told to use her own saliva to get it out. She tried it and said it worked. The idea being that your own saliva will dissolve your own blood due to the chemical makeup (I'm guessing something to do with enzymes or maybe DNA), not sure, but just a suggestion and worth a try. 19. If this question was asked of me before having my son, the answer might be different. But now I can so absolutely not. Ten more years would bring my son to the age of 13, not only is that the most selfish thing I think I could do to him, but there are so many things I want to be there for...his first girlfriend, then his first broken heart (not that I want this to happen but I want to be there for him), graduations, his wedding, all of his successes in life, and especially watching him become a Dad. All the money in the world would not be worth it if I had to miss these things. This is what life is all about! Melissa "May the best of your past be the worst of your future"
  20. Good job on finishing your homework! Three really really good movies I have seen lately are... 50 First Dates (don't let it fool you, it is not a typical Adam Sandler movie, I was so surprised at how good it was) Butterfly Effect The Life of David Gale (not so new, but if you haven't seen it, it is an amazing movie that has one of the most unexpected endings I have ever seen) Whatever you choose, enjoy!! Melissa "May the best of your past be the worst of your future"
  21. So I get to the hearing, they call me in and it is the same guy who listened to my appeal 2 months earlier. He listens to my excuse then realizes he recognizes me, checks his sheets and figures out it was him last time. He tells me that my reason was good, but he cannot find me not-responsible 2 times, it would look bad. Can you friggin believe that I have to go to trial because he would look bad if he let me off. But the good thing is that he said the officer is a state trooper who lives faraway and there's a very very good chance he wont show, so he told me to appeal. What a bunch of bullshit though! Just my luck, I do not get a ticket for about ten years, then I get 2 in a few months time and it is the same guy on both appeals. I hardly ever sped til I started jumping, then I seemed to have developed a lead foot, but only on the route to the DZ...Go figure!! Melissa "May the best of your past be the worst of your future"
  22. Smart girl!! That's the best one I have heard so far. I will definitely keep that one in mind. Melissa "May the best of your past be the worst of your future"
  23. LOL, that's hysterical, will have to try that one some day! Melissa "May the best of your past be the worst of your future"
  24. BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Same one she gives Gary??? LOL *tears in the eye* I can see her giving it now.... SLOW DOWN! Jeez I miss you guys... Jump ------------- Yeah, actually when I got up there and told them all about my ticket, Gary was telling me about the speeding hearing he had like 2 days prior, and giving me advice on how to get out of it. I think he has lost count of how many he has!! We miss you too, when you coming for a visit?? Melissa "May the best of your past be the worst of your future"
  25. Awesome description, cannot wait to see it for myself some day! That would be very welcomed. I am always up for advice and learning. As for this jump, it was my regular rig with a Sabre 190, a little floaty for the guy I was doing the CRW with, but he compensated just fine for me. I am about to order my new canopy which will be a Sabre2 170. I plan on doing a little more of this, it is not really that big at our DZ, but who knows in the future, we did hold our first CRW record attempt this year though, which was successful. Thanks, I think I will stay a while
