http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-29616418 Fat is good for you. In controlled amounts. Not junk food fat that's just disgusting but a good lump of protein with it's fat, or when making a pie halve the butter and add refined lard, it makes me cringe when I see people cutting out every piece of fat in a good piece of meat or ham. If you were only doing 19 mph over why on earth did they stop you. Where I live the speed limit is 50 kph we normally drive at 60-80 and the police overtake us on the way to the local bar, Mine. Guess it must be the Spanish way. Gone fishing

Given a choice between my money feeding a bum in my country or lining Hamid Karzai's pocket I'll choose the wino every time. Damn you socialist, how are WE going to achieve a capitalist society with people like you around. Gone fishing

Flash in the Pan, I imagine that the oil cartels have already got together to raise enough capital or hatched some foul deed so's that the patents eventually belong to them long before the design goes into production. Gone fishing -
No, you said that. ( I see little reason to suspect that Russia poses a direct threat to North America, and so little benefit (but lots of risk) to the US providing more than equipment and information.) My interpretation of your statement is that North America or Nato shouldn't get involved as it is of no benefit to your country. You think Putin is going to stop with the Ukraine if no one stands up to him, it's what he's aiming for. He has said time and time again that he wants to rebuild the federation. (If you are convinced that Russia is not a major (or the major) instigator of the conflict in the Ukraine I don't know what planet you're living on.) Of course Russia is the instigator, they want one of the biggest bread baskets of Europe. Putin is also betting that no other alliance will stand up to him giving him a free hand to do as he will. (Even if we were to accept your premise that the Ukraine is having a "civil problem" that just happens to be on it's Russian borders by some strange coincidence, it remains to be demonstrated what would be the advantage to NATO of admitting as a member a country undergoing a civil war. How would that country be able to meet it's obligations as a member to contribute forces to the collective defense of all NATO members? ) Nato isn't only about only meeting requirements, it's about standing up to bully's. If it was only about requirements then the country I live in would of been kicked out years ago. Gone fishing

Normally, when one country sends troops and arms into another country and is shooting at that country's army, we call that "war". No it's called an act of aggression. War has to be/should be declared. Gone fishing

As far as i know the Ukraine isn't at war with anyone, it has a civil problem on it's Russian borders. So in your opinion NATO should only allow to join/protect countries that are a direct threat to the US Nice. . Gone fishing

I'm not a betting person, but if I was I'd bet that the Ukraine's hopes of joining Nato is scuppered by the very countries that preach freedom and democracy for all. Seem's to me that the Ukraine going to parliament to out from being a non block country to ask for membership to Nato is a real cry for help. Gone fishing

Here they are; http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=142088 They're fairly simple. My guess is if a user isn't trying to be a jerk, he'll probably never come close to violating one. My further guess is that even IF a person is trying to be a jerk, he can be a pretty big jerk without violating one. We (the moderators) generally discuss who is itching for a fight and should be watched. We usually discuss warnings. We keep a on-going threads about certain repeat violators. Once a person is banned though, he's banned. If he's banned for life, then he's banned regardless of how many accounts he attempts to make and work his way back in. As soon as it is spotted, out he goes again. That's not for "no reason." That's because he was banned and the ban is still in effect. Again, some users might not be aware of it and think it's for "no reason," but the reason exists; they simply aren't aware of it. So, go ahead and continue to stir up this shit Turtle. You're paddling up the wrong stream. So what happens if two people are using the same ISP Gone fishing -

Or the skyliner. God I hate that bloody plane, I've had more accidents and cut hands exiting that thing than any other aircraft. I remember jumping several times at around 16,000 from a Caribou back in the 80's but I can't remember if it was pressurized. Gone fishing

It makes me glad I'm an atheist, Non believer, no use for religion. And still trying to get my head round the big bang theory, exactly what part does that Indian guy play http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-28890069 Gone fishing

Uhm . . . GODZILLA. You do realize no animal could ever be that large; right? (Because; physics.) Once you understand that, the skydiving is the least inaccurate thing to ruin the film. There you go bringing common sense into it. You must really be the life and soul of a party. Your not an Engineer or work in IT by any chance? Gone fishing

Yea I know it's science fantasy but they could at least research the skydiving scene a little. We all know the US services are tough (cough cough) but the Marines or whatever branch the Skydivers were, 30,000 feet wearing only fatigues in an unpressurized C130. At least they had the sense to use oxygen. How do we know it was unpressurized at 30,000 ft, cause they didn't freeze to death and when the tailgate went down it didn't fill with mist. Sorry but that scene ruined it for me. Gone fishing

The only thing this movie has going for it is Scarlett Johansson. Then she's not even at her best. No boobies. Gone fishing

As far as I can ascertain, having asked around, here on the Spanish side of the Pyrenees mountains, you do something stupid like not going prepared, and have to call the rescue services, then you are billed. If you fall and break something (an accident) then the rescue is free. Weather closing in is not an accident. Climbing and getting stuck is not an accident. Not judging a climb and calling for help as night closes in is not an accident. One thing the Spanish have mastered the art of, is that if you owe money to the government or any of the services they WILL take it straight from your bank account or tax returns. Gone fishing

Great idea, Why didn't I think of that. And to the person that questioned Skydiving, That was a bad example, I'm old and sometimes live in the past. Gone fishing

After mount Rainier and the news of 5 dead on mount Blanc. Should in your opinion mountain climbing or risky sports be regulated. My opinion is No, if someone wants to climb a mountain, scuba dive or skydive or any activity involving risks then the owness is on the person or persons partaking in said activity to evaluate the risks. and decide if they are sufficiently prepared for the risk involved. As with any high risk sport or activity their will always be accidents. Gone fishing

So: - The chef has a crush on Manuel, and is drunk. - Basil-the-Rat is loose. - The rat-poisoned meat may, or may not, have been eaten by the cat. - The inspectors are coming. - The kitchen is on fire. Is that about right? Ya got it in one but you've missed the hidden unpasteurized Stilton and the food critic that had the bad sense to ask for salt. Youtube "Chef" With Lenny Henry, that's a real kitchen. Gone fishing
-
"Jon said he really wanted to get the restaurant kitchen thing right. What did you think of that? " Can't really answer that. My kitchen is a cross between Faulty towers and Chef (Lenny Henry) Some days it's a riot (funny) other days I'm banging my head against the wall. Every kitchen is different. Gone fishing
