I was 20 years old stationed in Germany. Went to Nurenberg the night before to get in line to see a concert when my buddies and I decided to go to this bar called the Green Goose. We hung out half the night doing Jager shots and drinking Germany's finest hefeweizen. About 2 am we decided to leave and go to the concert venue. We're walking down the street to this little Gyros stand when I accidentally knocked this long-haired dude down. I started apologixing profusely when he looks at me and says "Dont worry about it dude, I'm ok." To my amazement it was none other than James Hetfield, The lead singer of Metallica. We started bullshitting with him and told him that we were going to get in line so we could get close to the front row (there's no such thing as a reserved seat at an open air concert). He looks at us and knows that we're in the Army and procedes to give us backstage and pit passes for the show the next afternoon. We met the band and the 2 opening acts (Suicidal Tendencies and The Cult) Got autographs and other SWAG. They rocked everyone's world that afternoon.
